What watch do you wear?

I regret not getting the Seiko 5 I liked when Amazon had it quite cheap a few years ago. I can't believe how much they have gone up. I haven't worn a watch for the part of twenty years, after getting it snagged on gate as a postie (same thing happened with wedding ring).

This is my old one, got it about 23-24 years ago. I am not sure if it worth trying to get it fixed up. I did buy a case opening kit a few ago but could never undo it. Insides must be corroded to hell by the battery after so long.

Hi Ninco, I own Watch Repair UK and we are authorised by TAG Heuer. If you ever have any questions just ask. Your watch will need a service (recommended generally every 3-5 years) to ensure it is operating optimally.
This is very interesting to know! I'm thinking of having my Seamaster 2231.80 serviced soon so I might drop you a message if that's ok?

this is your website?

Hi, yes ask any questions. That's the site.

Never really been into watches in any real sense outside of something that provides a function. I've been using smartwatches for at least the last decade in some form or other, from Garmins to Galaxy. I've recently started a new job that dosnt allow for use of smartwatch must be disconnected from phone and unable to provide alerts. so I decided there wasnt much use in wearing one outside of using it for tracking physical activities which also means I dont have to keep on top of charging it every other day.
Thought I'd treat myself to a decent quality and simple/subtle classic wrist watch for work. I honestly didnt really know where to start but I knew i kinda just wanted a simple military field watch kind of style. After scouring numerous websites I settled on something I really liked the look of. Seiko 5 Field watch, with the green nato style webbing strap, picked it up for ~£200 mark.
I'll be genuinely honest I didnt really know what I was buying until it arrived and I opened it up and was blown away with the look feel and build of it. I know its not exactly a fancy watch its lower in the seiko range but you have to understand i'm coming into this completely ignorant to the world of watches. It kinda sparked something in me and I'm already contemplating looking into something a little higher end in the coming months!

Nice strap that, I'm thinking of changing the nato strap on my Seiko 5, which I've never really liked. Some good options on ZuluDiver.
