Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

I think he means send it to hold naked, but if that was possible, carbon would be too fragile to do that.
I hope he doesn't mean that. That's even crazier than taking it onto the plane with me
He just had a big cardboard box he packed it into each time under his arm!
Personally, I wouldn't trust my bike in a cardboard box. Even soft cases, which some people love, I just wouldn't trust.
How do you find taking something so big in the taxi to/from the airport?
It fits in my car boot with one of the back seats down. Taxis in Spain are generally ready to take a bike box, especially in places like Mallorca and Girona/Barcalona.
I like the idea of taking my bike abroad by plane but struggle with the idea of spending a holiday amount on the box.
I get that, and I think there are cheaper ones than the one I chose, but I believe BikeBoxAlan are generally regarded to be the best. Given bike hire (of a similar bike) would be £200+ each time and I'll have used my bike box four times this year alone (I think it's 10 or more in total with the old box), it's still the financially sensible route to go. Also, I tend to see the cost of the box being what you pay, minus what you would sell it for and I think it till hold value reasonably well.

Yeah, they just don't seem to lose value.

Also worth noting that Trains in Spain require bikes to be in boxes on the long distance trains. So you can't just rock up with a bike under your arm (ask me how i know!)

More bike stuff, just need the handlebars which is hopefully tomorrow and i'm all set. Oh except annoyingly the lack of derailleur hanger that the guy didnt have with him in the shop and i'm waiting for a reply on when i can collect it

Ha ha. Are you suggesting riding to the airport and strolling through security and onto the plane with the bike? Just pop it in the aisle? I'm not sure I could get away with that...

Sorry, I guess I was thinking more train and local transport, didn’t think airport. That would be a faff and a half no matter what the bike is in!

Bye bye old C9. You were great but this deal was too good. Helloooo M4!

65" LG OLED M4.
And at 70% off RRP!

Wireless I/O connect box which runs @ 60Ghz proprietary signal.

Demo to show the input lag and how it all works. Newer panel bit same connect box.

How much was the M4 and what did you did with the old TV?

£1175 which was absolutely 'take my money now' worthy. Gave the old 55'"C9 to my mum, to replace the old Plasma Pz85.

That is take my money territory !!!

My issue is I already have an old Plasma sitting around, these things are not easily moved away...but I have no complaints with my 5 year old 55" OLED.

p.s. the backlight behind the TV, is it your own LED strip like Govee or built in from the TV?

I got the local charity shop to collect the plasma. Boy did it have some heft to it!..so glad I didn't need to take it to the recycling centre.

Yeah then old C9 was no slouch but it's been almost 6 years since I got it and I had the itch to go bigger. The last few months I was just waiting for a solid deal.

It's a basic 2m hue strip. More an ambient light for the room which it works great for... and it goes off for movies as I prefer total darkness.

I do have a Hue strip somewhere at home....I put it somewhere when I got the Philips OLED which has it built in.

I agree, 65" would be nice!

I purchased a new knob. Feels lovely in the hand. The head is nice and smooth and I can more easily feel the throbbing when I hold it. It's quite hard but because it's so smooth around the head it fits in to my hand beautifully.

Also the language used on one of the Dons days out! :p
