Invasion (Apple TV)

We've just started S1, happy to keep going but my God it's frustrating. Army guy threatens almost anyone who tries to help him, JASA engineer are hey annoying 'love conquers everything', people not seemingly appreciating there's an alien invasion going on, aliens capable of interstellar travel but act like like hungry wild dogs and the doctor woman and her annoying bewildered look/very poor parental childcare duties.

My wife watched season one a year or two back and barely remembers anything, even watching it again. Says it all.

Did anyone think the bully kid in S1 looks like a cross between Michael McIntyre and John Mulvaney?

Not at all impressed with S2. For a show supposedly about aliens invading Earth thus far this season we have seen precious few of them. A few HK's in this week's episode. Far too much time on the human drama and precious little action.

We've started S2. More Home Alone levels of keeping tabs on her children, her son being annoying, Mitsuki being a perfect arsonist for 5 minutes and then spending ages tripping out in that room (odd rest of humanity don't use fire like she does), the soldier being a dingus and what I presume will be the Goonies go to Paris.

I might check this out.
Judging by the comments, I probably won't like it after a few episodes, but it's piqued my curiosity.

I just found watching this a bit odd. Like I didn't really know what it was trying to be. Seemed like they were trying to go for the Last Of Us type setup where the whole zombie/alien thing is just a backdrop to a strong character narrative......but without the strong characters and writing. Not enough actual aliens to stand alone on the sci-fi part.

Just a bit meh really. Definitely the weakest show I've tried on Apple TV, most of it is pretty damn good.

I moved onto ST Discovery, which was extremely painful. I'm just glad we got Strange New Worlds out of that, seemingly, fan-fiction writing style, tripe.
