What PC games are you playing?

i played both DL1 and DL2, liked both, but not got The beast yet, because i thought it might be to much like DL2, and seeing it has a much smaller map than DL2, is it different enough for the price tag of £49.99 ? to me it should have been like a £20 dlc.
I'm a big fan of all the games, have played through them multiple times. I'm having more fun in this than I did in DL2 and it's well worth the price imo.

That's good to know, thx, will obviously buy somewhen, but knowing it was going to be a dlc once and a lot of people got it for free, the ultimate edition owners of DL2, i find it hard paying £50, will pay around £20 if it comes down that low somewhen.

ragequit season after failing 3rd ascendency on last boss, twice in a row. Haven't swore at my monitor like that in years:cry:
I've got to the scorpion multiple times with full health but died each time. My plan is to level up and come back later. Mappings going better for me now after spending 30 exalts on a staff with extra lightening damage and cast speed.

I have got the scorpion down to a quarter health left so I will get him soon.

Megabonk and Cloverpit.

Its cliche to call games "X and Y mashed together" but Megabonk really is unapologetically Vampire Survivors x Risk of Rain 2. It's one of the rare roguelites that let you "disable" unlocks so you're not stuck with items you unlocked you don't actually want - I personally don't use these as I look at full item pools the "intended" experience, but it's still nice to see given how many people see the opposite. It's a 10/10, might be my GOTY (mostly due to this year being pretty dry if you disliked Claire Obscure) and extremely cheap at something like £7.50.

Cloverpit is Balatro but on a slot machine. You don't have too much agency and it lacks the equivalent of playing Flush/Straight/Pairs etc., you kind just pull the lever, and what happens happens. You "build" your deck with charms/relics and run-permanent effects such as making e.g. Cherries more likely to spin, and hope you meet the score amount. It's fun, but I don't see it having legs because it's just pull the lever and hope. 7/10, but well worth the cost at something like £6.50 if you have either Balatro or Buckshot Roulette due to the Steam bundles.

Would I need to have played the first two in order to understand and/or enjoy The Beast, or is it ok to play as a standalone? Cheers

Standalone is fine, but there's actually a recap of the 1st game and its DLC The Following included so you get an idea of what happened previously.

Amid Evil: Black Labyrinth DLC.

Stunning, beautiful environments as with the first installment; among the best I've ever witnessed in a video game,
though I thought the first world/level was the weakest. Interesting variety of enemy types.

Looks better on my new GPU, though unsurprisingly the RT experience isn't all that forgiving - or even worth bothering with, IMHO.
I think I actually prefer it switched off anyway.

Overall, very good.

Now at the point in Shadow of the Erdtree where I don't think I can explore any further in any direction without facing a hard boss. NW, SW, SE, E and N all have either a boss fog gate or a big empty space that screams "a boss will spawn here."

As I've picked up a load of Scudascadu tokens and am shamelessly rocking a faith build with the Blasphemous Blade, I've not found anything too tough so far. I imagine all that is about to change as I know the later bosses of this DLC have rather fearsome reputations.

Which way, Tarnished man?

Not sure if that's tongue and cheek, looks like a 20 yearold game , i have both the game and dlc myself.

FC26 - painful experience in FUT, doesn't resemble football in the higher divisions, but until UFL drops on PC this is the best I can get.

Looking forward to Battlefield 6

I love the lighting and dream-like surreal beauty of the world, though I readily appreciate that it's far, far from the more realistic looking graphics that we see in other games. :)

Which reminds me, I think it's about time that I picked up Cyberpunk + Phantom Liberty; hopefully, I can find it somewhere for a sensible price.
