Imgur has blocked the UK

My point is that China has 1.4bil people, so it is much bigger audience and user base for any company to justify setting up an shop inside and even without outside users, it'll easily be profitable.

We are trying to change the laws on the internet basically and companies are far too willing to abandon this market than to comply with it.
Austria did this with parcel delivery last year. They made a new regulation that insists the importer has a named licensed individual physically in Austria with a responsibility to deal with matters arising from the unlawful recycling of packaging materials.

So piles of small businesses (and bigger ones like AliExpress) simply pulled out of the Austrian market as it isn't worth the hassle.

I've never thought of it as anything other than im gurr, but now you've said it, image-err probably makes more sense.
Not to me. How is it not 'im gurr'. It quite literally is imgur... there's no a or e in there. Why would I say 'image er'?!

As a name 'imagerr' might make more sense, but that's not what they called it....

Eventually, hopefully things the government rely on will start breaking as more sites block the UK. Things like services and application which gather data, intel and stats from across the internet suddenly won't work anymore. They'll be forced to use VPNs themselves :D

The whole thing is already a huge farce.

main investors are republican

Shutdown access due to investigations for making money out of kids data? Bad but made even more politically awkward with the current US administration Epstein fiasco.

I wonder how US free speech will impact TikUSTokUS safeguards.

I've now set up a little bit of PHP on my web server so from my phone, I go to that page, there's a button to select an image from either photos or files, I select it, it resizes to 1000 pixels wide, moves it to my images directory and gives me a link.

There’s an automated process running now which will convert any imgur links to attachments and insert them into the post bodies.

Providing people don’t ask for their imgur accounts to be purged, we won’t lose any pictures within posts.

It’ll take a while to run over every post on the forum.
Hi Feek, are you able to share the script with me please? I run a car forum on XenForo and there's a lot of build threads which use Imgur. Might also be useful for m3cutters, I can ping the admin on there.

Likewise here too. Got a forum going back to ~2005 which has already been hampered enough by Photobucket.
