We've just had a delivery of butternut box arrived so the slow transition from dry to quality wet has begun. She loves it though, that's the issue lol, she likes it significantly more than the dry food so eats it first then it's "why you no more?" eyes

This is Charlie, we've had him for about 6-7 months now. We're not 100% sure what he is.

How time flies, I remember posting this post.

This guy is now really old, we think based on what the vets told us when we found him with his teeth & condition etc that he is now somewhere between 14-15 years old

He doesn't have long left as he's lost the use of his rear left leg in the last week which seems to be mentally challenging for him as he was still pretty active & able to leap into the back of my wife's Peugeot 3008 until about 3 weeks ago. I've bought him a rear end harness to support his weight out & about and he's got tests etc booked in. We spent half an hour in the garden earlier with him chasing his favourite laser pen around massive smile on his face with me in tow supporting his arse, loads of tail wags so he's still getting enjoyment from life but he's now much harder work. He's become really picky with food too which I think is a side effect of his medication, so his dinner tonight was a slice of Pizza & half my doner kebab as he won't touch dog food any more as of about a week ago, yesterday I had to make him chicken liver pate & peanut butter sandwiches, pretty sure he is milking it.

He's not in any pain & still pretty cheerful so we're getting him a dog cart for his back end so he doesn't screw up his remaining leg as he has a bit of arthritis but can still go on walks.

It's hard when they get to this stage but he's prevented 2 burglaries so whatever his last months end up costing us, who cares.

Edit: One of the things we are looking at next week is a damaged ligament in his knee leading to his sudden leg issue, we can afford surgery easily but his age raises questions if it looks like that's what it is, I don't want to put him through surgery right at the end of his life however on the flip side other than this leg he's in A1 condition so when would the end of his life actually be, could he get another year maybe, lots to consider.

She's not 12 weeks yet, she's exploring the world with her mouth. But yes, baby needle like teeth. We time her out in her pen for 1 minute when she starts and praises when she focuses on toys, it's having a good effect to be honest but she's young and daft
Our older dogs teach the puppies not to bite with those needles, often heard a squeal of pain with a puppy hanging off an ear or a tail, then the older dog tells the pup off. Our three are all old enough now and they're very careful with teeth.
