AI will be everywhere it's like going from mechanical to digital all over again and saying transistors, wires and circuits are just a fad that will never see mainstream use.The big AI profit so far has been those selling the hardware. It remains to be seen just how profitable it can become for other companies. The expectation is that it will be massively profitable hence huge valuations in stocks, only time will tell.

obviously not every company involved will survive and some of them will be all hype.
IDK how we can compare it to previous bubbles though when so many titans are involved that can just haemorrhage money because they have nothing else to do with it and governments are incentivising them to spend it.
the problem is if most of it ends up being more like a utility that barely makes any money, datacentres could very easily become something like that, yet everyone just assumes it's going to be some huge digital casino that prints.
Not anymore! Looking at T212, XAUUSD peaked at $3,897 and down to $3,838 and falling stillNow to play the guessing game of how low will it go before buying back in..

Yes it'll be everywhere but maybe not in the current iteration. The Internet is everywhere, but the dot com bubble still popped and the AI one can too. Not that these two bubbles are directly comparable, many companies today are very profitable unlike the dot com boom.
Exactly.
I kept saying to myself should I average down... I couldn't see a way out for them. Well I didn't, I have a few shares at c$45 - oh well.Intel still flexing, good good. Up 48%; if that pops to 50%, I'll take some coins for prezzies.
I suspect long term it will come good but you'll be holding that bag for quite some time!I kept saying to myself should I average down... I couldn't see a way out for them. Well I didn't, I have a few shares at c$45 - oh well.
Being open and honest - it was some buys I did a long time ago. It's fortunately not a lot of money. I've learnt my lesson, most of my funds sit in whole market trackers with monthly buys (boring but fairly safe)I suspect long term it will come good but you'll be holding that bag for quite some time!
Aye, most of my junk is in indexes but I have several k to play with / willing to lose. I lucked in with Intel, getting in a month or so back. I'm utterly clueless when it comes to picking individual stocks. Take the latest ALRT malarkey, I tried to get in yesterday but the buy order never clicked so I cancelled it. Glad i did!Being open and honest - it was some buys I did a long time ago. It's fortunately not a lot of money. If you want to play with meme stocks, you either buy the first time you hear about it, or don't bother. If sit and wait until everyone's talking about it, you're gonna end up with the bags.Aye, most of my junk is in indexes but I have several k to play with / willing to lose. It just executed. So like when your dad starts joining the dance party at your high school, the party will now be over.
