Movies you re-watch more than you should?

Tron Legacy - For the soundtrack mostly, not much of a story but it's my go-to when I want the sound up.
Scott Pilgrim - No idea why I didn't want to see this at the cinema, still happy to watch it now.
Donnie Darko - Typical watch once kind of film, but again a good sound track and well paced story
V for Vendetta - Country going down the pan, a reminder of where we're heading
Serenity - I aim to misbehave. Enough said.
K-Pax - Slow paced background film with soothing sound track
Hot Fuzz - Too good not to

That's my usual list if I want something to watch that's familiar. There's a secondary list of "not as often" which I'll often use to wind down to that I might only watch 10-15mins of at a time, a few musicals in there. The Nolan box set is up there too along with pretty much anything Disney/Pixar.

I've watched some of the Films that were on when I worked a Cinema 40 years ago more times than I should have done after I left, I bought a few of them on VHS, DVD & Blu-ray.
These days its Marvel Studios stuff, Phases 1 through to 3 have been my guilty pleasure, Phases 4 & 5 have on the whole for me nowhere near as good, the writing has gone downhill big time. Phase 6 could be going back on the right track but I'm not raising my hopes too much.

One film I make a point of watching every year is Howl's Moving Castle. In computer games, I do the same with American McGee's Alice. Both Howl's and Alice have been every year for the last 15 years and the month for both is always August.

Harry Potter 1-8 (not Fantastic Beasts) is every other year.

James Bond and Arnie once every few years.

Is the keenness/ability to rewatch the same film countless times and get enjoyment out of it a predominantly male thing ? I ask because My woman regularly asks "haven't you seen that before ?", as if it's a totally weird thing to rewatch a film.

Some years back my then girlfriend was a bit fixated with The Lost Boys and The Breakfast Club. She would happily stick one of them on to watch what felt like most weekends and she seemed near enough word perfect on the scripts.

Classic films I have watched too many times and will continue to do so:
Blade Runner
Star Treks 2/3/6/7
Star wars OG Trilo G

Films that are my more recent favourites that I watch obsessively
Zero Dark Thirty
Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy

Deadpool
Dirty Harry
The Dead Pool (Dirty Harry)
Star Wars original three
Ghostbusters
The Breakfast Club
Red
Shrek
Gregory's Girl
48 Hours
The Art of the Steal
Beverley Hills Cop
Trading Places
The Ringer
The Committments
Groundhog Day
Lethal Weapon 1-4
Rita, Sue and Bob Too
Mars Attacks!
Me, Myself and Irene
Morons From Outer Space
Uncle Buck
Paul
Quick Change
Pretty in Pink
Scrooged

What a weird collection :D

None anymore :(

But years ago I used to watch 1995's 'Assassins' way too much, considering the movie isn't all that.

Antonio Banderas was hamming it way up and Stallone is monosyllabic.

I dread to think how many times I’ve seen Back To The Future. I’m tempted to go see it again at the cinema next month. I saw it in the cinema for the first time a few years ago and it was soooo cool.
