Having all sorts of connection issues on my network this last week, mainly poor signal with devices that never struggled before. Have tried scanning and changing channels but not sure if it's helped much. Has there been a dodgy update?
Do you run auto updates? If so, turn that off.

My U6-Enterprise arrived yesterday, and I have it all set up and running now. The switch to UOS Server was a pleasant surprise versus the old controller method, though I wish they'd make software that wasn't such a pig and full of java etc. I have it running in a Debian 13 (Trixie) VM with 4 cores and 4GB RAM. It's currently eating 2.75GB just sitting there. :o On the plus side the setup was a breeze compared to the old controller UI, and the AP itself is solid. My devices have a much better signal and stronger throughput now (obviously), and WiFi 6E will do us for a good few years yet. I mooted going WiFi 7 but the 6E was half price and still in the shrink wrap so I couldn't say no.

Interesting that he actually tested the device rather than connecting two things to it and pulling faces for a video and declaring it amazing. I'd never have known that a large touted feature of the switch (MC-LAG) doesn't work, and a large touted feature of the Unifi platform (nice web UI) doesn't have the ability to properly configure this product.

He's good, I really like his content and I like his humour.

Picked up a USG Pro 4 last night for £10.08 delivered AND it has Noctua fan upgrade done.

I know it's not latest and greatest but will definitely help a friend or family member who isn't on full fibre.

Is there a way to run the ‘other setup’ mode on the mobile app? I need to access PPPOE config settings and it’s not having any of it unless I’m being extremely thick (which is a possibility) I only have my phone and iPad with me, so no console connection, Ethernet or WiFi connection - as had to reset the UGM to default settings, so wiped the APs too.

Edit: I’m being extremely thick. It was as expected really. It’s hidden away in IP Settings.

Some weird shenanigans with my G4 Doorbell, this thing is so problematic. I think I may have had this problem before a couple of years back.

I thought I'd try using an old LR AP (WiFi5) solely for the doorbell/camera WiFi. First issue is, when reset - my phone says there it can't detect it via bluetooth despite being right next to the doorbell. And then when I adopt it through a browser and force it to join the CameraWiFi network - the doorbell just goes offline. Have to factory reset to get it back.

Edit - just took a long time for the doorbell to come back online.

Edit - nope, gone offline again. Stumped.

Is the the OG G4?

If so the internal battery is probably had it. Mine works ok in the summer but as soon as the temp drops off can’t power itself and the chime at the same time.

Back considering a UDM-SE and dropping pfsense / Sophos XG / opnsense etc. I know this is an annoying request, but does anyone have power draw for one of these units with a HDD for Protect etc. I'd be losing Cloud Key +, UNVR and Sophos XG 135 Rev 3 hardware from the rack. Leaving 48 port Pro PoE switch

May as well get the CGF, more powerful hardware, more compact, no doubt more power efficient, and chuck in an NVMe for Protect storage.

What network version are you running? There's 20+ pages of people complaining about all sorts of things with the latest (9.4.19)

Hello all

I am using a USG PRO 4 with a cloudkey gen1 at home.
I can no longer access the controller via the direct IP address, I can only access the cloudkey config page. I get a 404 error when trying to access the controller.

From what I understand, this could mean the cloudkey has given up? Is that right, even though I can access its configuration / maintenance page etc?

I need to ideally sort this ASAP for my parents as I'm going away for a month or so on Friday!

May just be the lightpd service has fell over. Basic ask... Have you rebooted it? If yes - it's died. If no - reboot it.
