From what DCR posted, Strava are digging a big hole with their claims over the Garmin logo requirement

I let my Strava subscription lapse a few months ago to see if I'd miss it and I haven't really. I reckon Strava have got a bit too big for their boots of late and I still don't need AI "insight" to tell me I was chewing stem during a Zwift race.
unsubbed when they announced their api bs, they're not getting my money.

I saw a comment that apparently came directly from someone at Strava on reddit which suggested they wanted the logo shown far more often/prominently. Showing it at the bottom edge of a map is inoffensive and you probably don't even notice it. The question is how Garmin are suggesting this attribution should be displayed. You could have a data screen which has 50 different sets of stats and data all over the screen in different places. Is it enough to have a small logo at the bottom of the page saying "data imported from Garmin" or are they suggesting that wherever there is a distinct separation of data they want the logo to appear ie. multiple times on the same page.

Was quite funny reading the responses on reddit with people saying "pot meet kettle" in less polite terms after the fiasco earlier in the year with Strava kicking a bunch of third parties off their API.

10 minute mark in the video, the garmins requirements were set out there..

Where are people selling their road bikes nowadays?

Picking up the TT bike today and can't justify having both a decent spec roadie and tt bike.

Seen the cycle exchange, but I anticipate it'll be 'we'll give you £500 store credit for your bike which was nearly £4000 new' :)

Won't be wanting or expecting the moon for it so just a nice simple/fast sale is preferred!

Probably go for facebook marketplace. You can list it as a standard item but there are also a bunch of regional/national cycling groups related to buying and selling cycling stuff that are worth joining.

got £1500, paid £2k..

Great effort with that. I'd have expected a bigger loss.

Went to see the frame builder last night to help check over a few things. I couldn't get the crown race thing fully seated and even with some tools he struggled but at least made a slight improvement. He also wrapped the bar tape which i appreciated.

What was cool was as we were chatting over a beer, he asked if i knew where the frame name "Far Away" was from. I had no idea and he said it was from the Deftones song, Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away), as a fan of the Deftones of that era it felt very cool. His Hardtail frame is named after Sober by Tool which is also a very good song.

Was also cool seeing various drawings of prototypes throughout the design phase of each bike. I grabbed a photo but feels wrong posting it online!

All picked up, I can't find much info on the wheels if anyone wants to shed any light? :) all I can find is a Facebook sale post from 2012 :D so they're definitely old and will be a winter / trainer wheel for sure.

Getting bike fit on it Tuesday, then it'll be strapped to my trainer for winter mainly.

When the nicer races come along I will then be changing the tyres (and maybe wheelset) , moving over my crank set too.

Still a bit baffled by TrainerRoad.

Just added an event next weekend which I estimate will be around 5hrs as it’s a relatively technical gravel 80km ride (Iron Gravel Cabo de Palos) and yet it’s booked me in a 1.5hr ride the next day despite generally telling me to take things easy in general.

Hoping it makes more sense as it progresses as at the moment I can’t make my mind up whether to follow it and accept I’m not a coach or only semi follow it.

Almost certainly, it will then adjust after you do your ride and give an RPE. It doesn't seem to account well for your own outdoor rides until you actually do them.

Cheers. Will reserve judgement for a while. Though I’ve just noticed it’s also got a 1hr intense interval ride the day before the race so that’s getting sacked off too!

Great ride out on the new bike today for the first time. Handles the rougher stuff superbly, arguably feels better than my mountain bike. Needs some adjusting though as my hands were pretty numb and a little lower back pain.
Maybe my longest ride in weeks after a longish indoor ride yesterday on a brand new bike wasn’t sensible!

My 76p di2 hood button adapters arrived yesterday. I still can't quite get my head around how they can ship an empty packet that cheaply from China let alone an actual product. They fit nicely and as others have suggested, make a big difference. The "clickability" of the buttons is about 3x better now.
Well, after two rides with them, maybe calling them 'game changers' would be too much, but wow, a big difference. Just press, don't think much about it... and they work.

Headwind made for tough going today, but absolutely delighted that I managed to squeeze a 90 minute ride in. Really fabulous autumn sunshine and colours by the time I got out after lunch.
