*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Near the end of my third playthrough and whilst I have stuff to do, I've hit max level and weirdly with no more progression, I was starting to get bored. Hoo, there's a level 80 mod. Installed and boom, I can start earning levels again. Nice.
If the gameplay fails to impress once you've hit the level cap, then the gameplay itself fails... kinda the curse of RPGs and looter shooters (so this one included) :))

dont nuke anything yet, just try a new game to see if the problem is with the game or the save files
If the streaming/save file issue test detailed here is accurate, I don’t have this issue.

I also cleared out over 6GB of old save files.

Loaded an older save and managed to play for 10 minutes before the game quit.

I’m leaning towards starting a new game once I have a PC containing components made this decade.

Make sure you don't overshoot the 8GB limit for the vRAM if your card is really that Vega 56.

Just over 30hrs in and starting to have random crashes, twice while stealing a car for 1 of the fixers but then also while doing different gig, unfortunately I'm gonna have to play again until it crashes so I can get some log files

Mine got a bug (or issue with one of my 160 installed mods) where my body disappears, but hands and feet are drawn ok, in first person view when I look down after changing my appearance. There is some fix around copying an appearance profile from a new save but that sounds long so I've started a new game since I had pretty much finished the DLC, that's also fixed it.

12GB VRAM is on the limit sometimes as is 32GB RAM, at 1440p, PT, many mods installed and get to 10.5GB VRAM and around 11GB it'll stutter and time to restart PC. Only way to make the game look any better now would be to get OLED monitor, I'm holding out for 4K and 5070 TI or some crazy 5090 system.. or not :) I'm not sure 4K and 16GB VRAM would be enough! etc

Some mods are great: lower Ads volume, V dialogue replaced with female Japanese voice :), better bike feel, load to main menu, mute menu hum, hacking mini game auto complete, carrying capacity. All adds to a nicer second play through.

After reading this i monitored lastnights session with cyberpunk and i was sitting at 6GB VRAM @1440P no RT turned on RT and was 7.5GB to 8GB.
Thats just base game no mods.

Interesting thanks, damn yeah 2.5-3GB of mods in VRAM I guess, probably more ploys, high res textures, my crowd density is medium, I tried high but computer said no, went over VRAM, so watch out for those mods sucking up VRAM. There is a mod that removes duplicate NPCs which also warns of higher VRAM usage, I didn't bothered with that one.

Here's a video of PT on 4070, usage is around 8GB VRAM as well. Also it's only a short clip but 4K peaks to 8.8GB which is surprising, thought it would be more. I might not have an OLED monitor for a while yet but I do have my OLED TV! I'll try that over the weekend I think :) I'll do some testing at some point and see which mods are using the most VRAM.

I got a 5070 Ti, that sorted the VRAM issue out :) Cyberpunk is crashing more though for me now. I did install latest Nvidia drivers. It's great on the OLED TV though, I just need a longer cable for my keyboard. With high density crowds it feels like a more realistic city, but if that's the cause of the crashing I'll end up going back to medium crowds.

VRAM starts at 11GB with high crowds + 175 active mods (it's just going to be mods with higher ploys, 4K textures, clothes etc) and then creeps up to 12GB, then it crashed (again), seem to crash when on my bike traveling up and down the map. The game seems to have chosen DLSS x2 instead of x3 like before, but it gets 79-90fps at 4K and mostly 144fps at 1440. I also tested Starfield and that didn't crash so that suggests Cyberpunk has some issue, could be a mod but I haven't changed anything since swapping GPUs.

Do you have any driving or vehicle related physics mod loaded?
Thanks yeah good shout: Cyber Vehicle Overhaul + for DLC, has been fine until today but I'll test without. Very confusing mods with similar names as well.

edit: I uninstalled the bike mods, but still no good, so far it hasn't crashed while in a car rather than riding a bike though. Could be the bike I use, it's downloaded one from Nexus: Ducati Panigale V4R, there is no mention of any issues though.

edit 2: ok the Cyber Vehicle Overhaul mods weren't uninstalled before and now are and they may have been the cause. The new version is supposed to fix the CTD issue of the old one but I don't think it does unfortunately.

I’m starting to think these crashes aren’t VRAM or System RAM related.

Disabled all my graphics and animation mods. Disabled all vehicle related mods.

Drove about 100 metres in a vanilla car and the game crashed. VRAM used was 5/8 and System 10/16.

Pretty sure the stability issues over the last few months are either caused by code changes introduced by the last couple of patches and/or graphic drivers issues
