Sorry to hear that this has happened to you!
FWIW, I had to RMA a Corsair SF750 2 weeks ago! It was only 16 months old - not what I expected from a Platinum rated top tier PSU!
The RMA was horrendus, they did everything possible to avoid giving me the option to choose an alternative brand - I bought it from the Bolton competitor, who claims
"we basically ARE Corsair UK, any time you return an item, it comes back to us anyway, whether you buy it direct from them or from us... Anyway, after half an hour of being polite I lost my rag and ended up getting what I wanted.
It turns out Corsair were well aware of said fault 5 years ago, to the point that they even acknowledged it on their own website - yet 5 years later it's still happening to brand new ones!
I had always heard versus mixed opinions on Corsair PSU's, many failures too, but decided to try one for myself. Never again. Think what could have happened, I'm lucky my components are fine!
I'd strongly advise not getting another Corsair, I wasn't best pleased with mine, but 5 hours is a joke! If it's already failed you this quickly, then that isn't on! It could have damaged your components, so don't take the risk again!
I went for an NZXT C1200 ATX3.1 instead, it's only £159.99 and often on sale - it is proven to be a solid silent PSU and reviews extremely well! Other users on here also own them and rate them
