XBOX Gamepass Ultimate conversion is back for £1

Yep - realistically I'd have liked to have spread the cost out over a few months, but I had the sinking feeling if I didn't do it now, by the time I came to finish up grabbing the codes, the cost may have risen substantially.

Monzo flex helps with this, can spread the cost over 3 months
Yeah exactly this. They can add to an existing subscription absolutely fine.
I got 4 and now a silver member so will save a few pennies on the next 4!

Well the Xbox was already starting to gather some dust and this has now pushed me into just selling the Series X and just using PC Game Pass along with my Switch 2 and Deck.

GPU was great at £15 but not at £23.

Guess I'm going back to just waiting till the keys go cheap on CDKeys/Loaded.

One advantage to all of this is I can finally stick to finishing one game before jumping to the next!

Pretty sure my sub run out in April/May, last time I bought anything that added to my sub was in 2022. Not played the Xbox for 6+ months.

The Xbox brand is dead. Shame, Sony can charge whatever they want for the PS6 because there will literally be no other alternative.

They have already tried that with the PS5 Pro, many have given Sony the finger. PS6 wont be any different.

I'm not sure on this. I think with the PS5 Pro they could release $100/£100, or so more expensive because the lack of a competitor's alternative console and it was seen as a 'prosumer' device. Likely mostly purchased by hardcore, existing PlayStation owners.

However the majority of their revenue is still PlayStation Network & Services which means that you still need a reasonable price to entry in order to make that massive profit from buying games on PSN. The rumours have suggestion the hardware and design is simplified with very aggressive power limits so I think they probably are trying to hit a mass-market price as much as they can. Unless they start making more money elsewhere on PC, or the new PS handheld changes strategy (i.e. if this thing takes off, or this is seen as a cheaper entry point) but this is all an unknown. However it is the introduction of a new hardware SKU for developers to support and introduce even more work for them.

So I think even with inflation and all the recent challenges PS6 could be released at less than the price of the Pro (albeit more expensive than a normal PS5). Again with no-disc drive which I think is pretty much a certainty at this point.

Just over £10 a month on Loaded now for a 6 month sub:
