Have you tried driving in with full steering lock? That may get your front end clear.
On the list of things for the morning!

Not an expert in these things, but what are the telltale signs that they are fakes?Lose the fake M mirrors while you're at it.![]()
The M3 style have the pointy bit at the top towards the window (real ones are only fitted to M3s, and are over £1k for a set so not commonly retrofitted to other cars)Not an expert in these things, but what are the telltale signs that they are fakes?
Same problem as the dropped 2nd curb is a little higher at the ends so it would absolutely catch most cars. I'll have a look at removing the front splitter as that seems a pretty straightforward win.Yeah with that additional splitter it all makes sense now.
What happens if you nose the car in?
The carbon sets are ~1.4k having done this recently. But even looking at mine I still can’t really see an obvious difference, so I’m just surprised someone noticedThe M3 style have the pointy bit at the top towards the window (real ones are only fitted to M3s, and are over £1k for a set so not commonly retrofitted to other cars)
Fake ones on the other hand are much cheaper.
(Afaik)
I'm a bit sad like that. Splitter on the car + mirrors suggests to me the mirrors are not OEM fit, IIRC they only came standard on the later cars. No one buys genuine to fit unless it's the carbon mirrors which only tend to get put on M cars. Not an expert in these things, but what are the telltale signs that they are fakes?
Unlikely, given the rest of the 'mods'I could be wrong, but I'd be surprised.
Yeah, I had a 21 plate M5 Comp and probably still have it if it wasn’t written off by a drunk driver. As you say, it’s a great all rounder. The front seats are fantastic, super adjustable and really comfortable. The boot can fit two large suitcases and two cabin bags so plenty of space. 4 adults can travel in comfort with decent leg room and although the ride is firm it isn’t crashy. The only thing I didn’t like about it is the steering, as it feels dead and the brakes are a bit snatchy and all at the top of the pedal. I had an E63S before the M5 and I thought the steering feel was much better on that and felt that handing was better balanced also the multi plate wet clutch auto was better suited to the car than the torque converter as the changes were snappier but it was built like crap with the interior rattling and creaking at 14k miles. Overall the M5 was a better built car and probably the better car as a daily driver. As you probably know, for what weights nigh on two tonnes, the thing can shift
They’re stock on the facelift M340 carsLose the fake M mirrors while you're at it.![]()
