Borderlands 4 (2025)

Ive got to the stage now that my build based on yer man Moxsys Rafa "ranger" build that i dont even feel like im playing borderlands anymore.
Running this build with the SMG version of Bod I dont even get to see health bars even on UVH5 its just click and kill everything instantly, the Vault bosses mayb not be instant kills but 3 seconds for them is just silly.
Ive got everything i need for any build on all three of my level 50 characters so its safe to say im done with it now but i got 150 hours from it and really enjoyed.
I hope they add more endgame as i would be allover it.

Its mad how we strive for a great build then get one that is so broken it all becomes silly , thats borderlands in a nutshell :)

Definitely agree on the knife and I refuse to use it during actual gameplay as it does feel like cheating and there's no fun taking everything down in seconds, especially when playing co-op.

I reserve the knife for farming when you do just want to take down bosses as quickly as possible.

Im sure on bl3, the levels got raised up to 80 for mega builds? But characters and weapons feel OP.

Same thing happens in stuff like Path of Exile, someone finds a ludicrous build, they post it on the internet, everyone copies the OP build and then finds that they are obliterating everything in mere seconds. Gets to a point where theres little point in having mobs on the screen, should just have it that you move around the game and loot just drops from the sky and the whole game is just about waiting for the right loot to drop from the sky

Its the main reason why I never follow any builds on websites and make my own instead, sure it means that I never end up having a character which annihilates stuff in less than 3 seconds but the flip of that is that it means I actually have a game to play rather than pickup-a-loot sim :)

Trust me i make my own builds but when a certain weapon drops its hard to ignore the possibilities.
 
over 100 hours now and had my first crash, tbh the screen was filled with shenanigans and was insane.

got some new gear that seems a bit mad as well, after hitting 50 i used the golden keys, even got a legendary out of a bog standard locker lol

Whilst my co-op partners have both had loads of both Steam and UE5 crashes, I've only had two crashes so far and both were 'hard' - all monitors went black, machine totally unresponsive, had to hit the reset button.
 
one crash/restart during shader compilationafter a patch, no crashes during 50 hrs of gameplay

oh wow, mine just paused then back to the desktop with a ue5 error then i chose to send report and restart game and been solid since :)
 
Well I tweaked my settings with my 9070XT and enabled FSR and I’m getting a smooth 160-180 FPS @ 3440 x 1440.

CPU is a 5950X , 64 GB system ram….

AMD overlay reports OS ram usage around 23GB, and around 13 GB VRAM usage.

I’m about 9 hours in…

Been a while since I got into a game really…so this looks like it will see me through the winter months. Causally dipping in after work on a night for a couple of hours.

I bought the base Steam version for £39.99 on CDKeys.

On my 9700xt I’ve got -15 power limit. -50 undervolt and fast timings RAM and 2800. Using about 290 watts boosting 3100mhz.
 
Getting really annoyed with my skill tree resetting randomly - happened again last night.

Not entirely sure but seems to coincide with when I level up.

Sounds like an annoying bug! but it happened to me after I used WeMOD to up all my stats to the max. As soon as I turned the Mod off my stats would reset every time I leveled up.

Have you been cheating? :p

Interesting.

Not been cheating but what I have done a few times is restore a backup of my savegame.

Reason for this is I'm playing through in co-op with others but now and then I want to do a bit of farming. Issue of course is this would gain XP and put me out of sync with my co-op partners.
So what I do is backup my savegame file and the profile file. When I farm something I want to keep, I send it to the bank, which is stored in the profile file. When I'm done farming I restore the backup of the character save but not the profile so my item stays in the bank.

I guess this could be upsetting it in a similar way to your situation but then the skills don't reset after restoring the save or even every time I level up. Bizarre.
