Google Pixel 8/8 Pro & Pixel Watch 2

Just discovered something I love. When you accidently close all notifications like I often do (via my watch). Now you can swipe down on the phone for notifications and tap on "No Notifications" and it opens Notification History.
I don't think that was there before at least.

Yes absolutely. So useful. Yes it's new.

I'm liking this new setup! Very happy with the change! I've been reading reddit thread of people posting their screenshots and setup, How do you get the likes of WiFi/Bluetooth, Torch as icons on your home screen or is this a third party installer type thing? Also re-sizing the tiles as per the second pic?

I liked earlier my HTC phones which allowed you to add icons to your home screen which toggled Wi-Fi, bluetooth, torch, GPS, etc. Very easy and quick to toggle them and swiping down first felt like a downgrade, but now I have more screen space. :D

I'm not sure if I like the new UI that the latest update brings. I liked the quick settings menu, but now they've gone and changed it again. Granted it's not a major change and I can finally toggle mobile data far more easily again. I still can't see a button to quickly toggle NFC which is annoying, as I'd like to use Google Wallet without NFC being turned on all the time - as far as I can tell, you have to dive into Settings to toggle NFC.

I kind of like the bolder icons, which I'm sure my ageing eyes will appreciate. I just hope they haven't used that battery icon where the percentage number is hard to read, like a lot of Samsung users complained about. With a battery currently at 100%, I suppose I'll eventually find out over the weekend.

Battery life is noticeably worse for me since the software update.
Mines the same as before to be fair. I used it Saturday with google maps navigation for 4.5 hours and it only went down to 43 percent from full. I was quite impressed.
The only thing that happened was the screen went dim due to the phone been too hot as it was in the sun on the windscreen as we was standstill in traffic on the M5 for 30 mins :( I turned off the screen for 20 mins and it was ok when I turned it back on.

I think I noticed my P8 battery life performance took a hit possibly two updates back.

Check to see if battery health assistance is on mine had defaulted to on either on this or a previous update

I've just checked this, Perhaps that ties in with when I noticed my battery life had dipped a good bit.

Does the pixel 8 pro have the tool for viewing battery health?

I have ordered the 512gb version as an upgrade from my rather beaten Redmi Note 10 pro. Looking forward to having a decent phone camera.
