He also says Breakout is still heavily favouring defenders with most maps horrible to play as attackers. TBF though he does say overall that he enjoyed the game.I met a player during the review period who was hunting 200m sniper headshots to unlock a new weapon through in-game challenges. Turns out this was only feasible on Operation Firestorm, the sole Battlefield 6 map large enough to hit those super long-range shots. This is disappointing, and as I touched on before, the maps just feel too small.
There are myriad reasons for this. Battlefield 6 feels more fast-paced than previous titles, and as a consequence, there are fewer wide open spaces in each map. Don’t expect anything like the rolling dunes of Battlefield 1’s Sinai Desert, or the hefty valleys of Battlefield 2’s Dragon Valley. You are often forced together into chokepoints and narrow corridors. I picture many old-school Battlefield purists being put off by the frenetic nature of the game, with elements of it catered to younger players more used to bouncing off walls in Call of Duty.
EA, due to the VPN discount mentioned recently. What are most people getting it on ? EA or steam ?
Any good deals going ?
I dont think that works anymore.EA, due to the VPN discount mentioned recently.
I've already done it, it's in my EA account.I dont think that works anymore.
Based on the beta yeahIs anyone expecting this to actually work when it goes live today?
I'm envisioning queues, but the game itself will be fine. Beta was solid.Based on the beta yeah
Yeah the beta did have me feeling my age a bit.The beta put me off a little, found the gameplay to be too... "frantic" I guess the best way of describing it. Usually I've liked Battlefield as it always felt a little slower paced and tactical in comparison to Call of Duty, the Beta did not give me those vibes.
I'm sure at some point I will pick it up, but doubt I'll be going in too early.
Just launch via the Steam libraryIf you order this via Steam does it still need/use the EA App similar to the older games?
