——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

So having purchased it on EA I never got to play it last night :D. But just played a few games tonight for a couple of hours and I think it's great. It runs and looks fantastic, looking forward to playing more over the winter months!

I think I've worked it out a bit more now.
When I first started playing, I was trying to play it the same way as I'd play 2042 (or BFV or 1 as they play similarly) but, actually, you need to approach it a bit more like BF4. That is, less running in guns blazing and a little more stand-off and fight from a bit of a distance.

:cry:, That's how the second open beta felt for me. I'm waiting for things to settle down and see if a hardcore mode is available with custom rule sets like the old days. Some of my favourite BF3/4 games were on hardcore with no sniper rifles on clan run servers. Don't think those days will ever return though unfortunately
 
Played through the campaign and it's a solid 7.5 out of 10. Nothing amazing but enjoyable nonetheless although some missions were better than others.
Will dive into the Multiplayer tomorrow to get my aging ass handed to me :D
 
I forgot how satisfying it is blowing tanks up. It doesn't always work out but when it does, very, very satisfying. Just dropped a few mines behind one and he reversed up. I then got a text from my partner asking "was that weird noise just then you?"

Yes. Yes it was :D
 
Enjoying it but some of the small (medium?) maps I find awful to play. Too many players for the map size and poor map design leading to horrible choke points or pure chaos.
 
Sobek City has to be one of the worst maps to grace the entire BF series. It's proper ass with no flow to it at all and the tall buildings crammed with snipers
 
Seen in one video jackfrags mentioned sometimes the sniper glint goes a rainbow colour, he reckons that may be a sign they've lined up a 1 hit kill shot but not been confirmed yet.
