——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

Empire State map really seems to tank my FPS at the moment, in comparison to the other maps. Anyone else getting the same?

In stuck in SP campaign. I need to operate a drone and it simply wont respond to my keyboard inputs. Not that there is one for drone, I suppose we have to frikkin guess. I got some of it working, but it clearly says on screen right mouse button for fire, which is constant for all vehicles and soldier yet it wont fire. So.......for now, until the idiots at EA fix it, its back to COD :(
Sheesh, isnt this what beta is for. This does seem a fairly simple thing, ya know, having customisable controls for a drone.
I repaired the game, but still the same. Once the drone is activated i can't even exit it using the set key, so its proper broken!
Any one had similar?

Is anyone else having trouble with visibility and spotting enemy players? Also the contrast between light and dark areas feels way too harsh for me.

I’ve been tweaking the settings to try and fix it, but it’s still causing eye strain. I can barely play for more than an hour!

I think assault rifles need to be looked at. The spread/bloom on them is too much to make them viable even when tap firing. SMG's just outgun you every time at even medium to long ranges.
once you get all the attachements on they beam

I mean not to sound funny that’s how a mine should work? It should blow up a tank, keep etc.

Shotgun I get it’s not as powerful as it was in the beta as it would kill from other side of map but does still seem abit too strong even at medium distance.

Up close though should def be one hit kill
Oh mines should absolutely kill off tanks but they just seem overly lethal at the moment. Like I can't even react and stop the tank or do anything about it as it's insta-death. They just seem to be everywhere at the moment, it's possible I need to unlock some ability that makes them less lethal or easier to spot? I've played battlefield since 1942 and always enjoyed using the tanks it's just this game I'm struggling with.

Played a couple of hours last night. It feels like it's shifted towards COD rather than honed in on what made Battlefield great. Although I haven't played all the maps yet the ones I did play didn't have that BF feel for me. Long range tank battles with jets and helicopters flying around. Vehicles dominating at the moment too while people are working on their unlocks. I have it on EA Play Pro and do need to keep playing to see more maps, but at the moment it's good, but not what I was hoping for just yet.

Thermal sights make them visible once you unlock them and there are loads as mines come in the standard kit for even a level 0 engineer. Once people start varying their Loadout you might see them less. Also locking stingers behind an unlock means helicopters and jets are just clearing up the battlefield at the moment.

yeah i had my settings dialed in for the beta but i find myself squinting here half time to spot someone, i thought it was volumetric shadows or something but cant find a happy setting yet, i doubt very much its hampering my gameplay as having better visibility just means i can see whos killing me

Had my first CTD on Liberation Peak while trying to go into settings to tweak brightness a bit

:D

Still unsure about the game, And whether to do a Steam refund on it.

My gripes on the game so far.

  • TTK is inconsistent. Feels very off at times.
  • Reloading is too slow!
  • Vehicular camera feels weird and clunky depending on what angle you're at.
  • Maps feel like they are not thought through very well, And way too small.
Sure these are things that can be fixed, But a AAA studio with infinite funds and the amount of feedback they received during all the tests including closed, open etc, This shouldn't be an issue in the launch of the game imo.

I still feel that Battlefield 4 absolutely craps all over 6 in terms of gameplay and fun.

I don’t think I’ve played a map yet that I’ve enjoyed. The game to me feels like COD on a bigger scale and it’s just chaos.

Looks like BF4 will be lasting me a while longer.
Same here, Empire State, New Sobek City etc both taken off my map filter instantly.

Liberation Peak is "Okay" but too small. Feels claustrophobic when driving tanks.

I’m mainly using the mpx and mp5 but today I feel like I’m constantly getting done in just hitmarkers for days then THUD feels like when you die your just getting one tapped.

running great here had a few crashes with no error straight to desktop and then game refuses to start back up unless i do a reboot, dunno what process stops it loading after a crash.

running on ultra 2560x1440p native i did whack textures on overkill and another setting and the crashes became a lot more frequent so toned back to ultra and a lot more stable, a shame it was running awesome on they settings cept for crashes, maybe exceeding gpu mem or god knows what lol
