Ronnie is on the downward spiral now. Doesn't play enough tournament snooker to stay sharp. He's constantly complaining about lack of money or facilities at the important ones and seems to be chasing the comfort and money at the Chinese or Arabic tournaments. He's a spent force. Shame he had demons earlier in his career as he could and should have smashed all records

He's been on a downwards spiral for years now, he rarely plays to the levels he could 10+ years ago. Just comes with age.

If anything he's making less sense these days, he was complaining about the tables in this tournament feeling damp and slow, and the cueball "running on forever" which is a total contradiction as damp tables will have the opposite effect and make the ball not go anywhere near as far.

Yeah, could become oldest ever ranking tournament champion in the next few hours.

I knew back in the World Championships he was contemplating risky eye surgery in the summer, but no idea if he went ahead with it, without googling it feels like his performances have come back since this season began somewhere around August.
