——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

You copied this straight from the biggest crybaby on the internet

Is the commenter on the video wrong though? If you take all of that into consideration it seems quite a barebones game compared to previous instalments (and this apparently took 4 years). I'm still on the fence about getting it myself, it looks fun but that could be a relatively short lived thing if you have to wait on stuff that should have been there at launch.

Still deciding whether to pick this up. Have two weeks off starting next week, could be one to sink some time into?
Yeah I've been thinking about this too. A lot of hype for this but I always remain cautious these days. I haven't played Battlefield since 4, and all I keep hearing is how small the maps are which for me is very discouraging. Think I'm going to revisit in a couple of weeks once things have settled.

I'm enjoying it, love the game play and now I've got the HDR sorted so I'm not blinded and got the cpu fix in its butter smooth. It's the maps, there just isn't a map that grabs me like previous battlefields. Fushi Pass, Karkand, Zavod..

I do hope there are some better maps coming.

I got about 50 seconds in to his dreary boring whinge-fest. Like seriously, if its that bad all he needed to do is uninstall it and move on.

I've got tomorrow off so I'll be sinking more time into it. Work keeps getting in the way!!!

Wasn't him that said it, its the top pinned comment. :p

The CPU "fix" reduced my FPS by around 40% lol. I'm pretty sure its because without the cfg file there it automatically detects 12 cores / 12 thread but with it, its halved to 6 cores / 12 threads. I have only got a 5600X which is a 6 core CPU (I will explain why I have such a "low" CPU if anyone is interested but FYI, its genuinely fine). With the CFG file in place all the threads usage drops but with it goes the FPS.

Just had some amazing games and some classic BF moments :D
Just had a couple of fantastic rounds myself.
Closed weapon all out warfare is my go to at the moment. It must attract the more seasoned BF enthusiasts because most rounds are so much fun, and actually involve teamwork. Tougher but closer rounds.
The open weapon lobbies tend to be a sweat fest full of cod kiddies from my experience. No teamwork, the multitude of open mics with domestics, heavy breathing and kids shouting are dead giveaways. You get the odd decent round but it's the exception rather than the rule.

save your money and buy Arc Raiders instead... gonna be GOTY :D
Hehe, I didnt (and wont be) buy BF6, but am 100% buying Arc Raiders as it was superb in the beta. However, I'm not expecting Arc Raiders to sell massive numbers, its an extraction shooter and like PUBG, Tarkov, Hunt Showdown etc, whilst very very good they dont appeal to the widespread gaming marketplace. It will do well within its genre (very well imo) but its not a genre which breaks sales records. Think of it as Bladerunner, its brilliant but never going to get the sales numbers of a Fast and Furious :D

Not played it yet but will definitely be having a go during the free weekend coming up. Much nicer price than BF6 too, can be had for £25 :)

The Custom Search is busted. Chose Conquest and only specific maps, hit Search and it puts me into a server on a map that I omitted.... twice.

Finally got into Mirak Valley and got stuck in a rock whilst prone, couldn't move, couldn't quit either and only once did an enemy get within a whisker of me (playing Recon as I was quite out of the way), but got shot by a squad mate who'd spawned on me.
Next map, on Liberation Peak I had awful graphical glitching across the middle of my screen which wasn't there on any other server I'd played on, so had to quit that one.

Very disappointing night tbh. :(
