——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

God how I'm hating random squads. I'm playing as Support on some maps, especially the tighter maps to rez and supply, yet others in the squad just **** off an leave you to die... it's not all about K/D ratio.

Tried to complete the daily of 10 kills with LMG's and couldn't hit a barn door with one, even prone you lose out to SMGs or Shotties from 50 metres which is nuts. The gun balance is very skewed towards assault/smg/shotgun which makes weapon grinding to unlock better things nigh on impossible as there's no reason to use anything other than an Assault etc when it outguns at range an LMG. Don't get me started on the Recon class, that's dropped in the river with cement shoes of a class. :D

Picked it up earlier, been years since I even touched one of these games, probably B3 and even then I didn't put much time into it. First game it felt awful, to the point where it was an oh no time to refund moment, turning off frame gen made it feel massively smoother. A couple of games later and I'm starting to get used to it a little bit, the visual overload of effects on the small maps is hard to get by though, I have absolutely no idea what I'm looking at sometimes.

I like the feel of the m60 over the starting LMG, I was getting pretty confused and had to google why I couldn't change the attachments for it when all the unlocks kept popping up in-game, seems a bit of an odd decision really.

I've got a little more time left on the clock for the refund window, enough for a couple more games worth of time and then I'll see how I feel about keeping it.

I feel like BF6 is just running around like a headless chicken, you finally see someone... As soon as you aim and shoot you will be instantly killed from the side or behind. Then spawn on a squadmate, to then be instantly killed by a random grenade, a tank shooting at you or into an enemies line of fire. Rinse and repeat.

The maps are awful, and the TTK is waaaaay too quick. I could understand it if it was a slower paced game like Squad or Hell Let Loose, but everyones just sprinting and sliding around like its Call of Duty.

I'm finding it hard to decide if I even enjoy playing it. When playing it I just feel like I'm getting ****** off most of the time. But then when not playing it I have an urge to load it up and play.

I've not bothered to look into the technical side of it but on the BF forums quite a few people are saying their game traffic is being routed via out of region nodes, even when they try and limit it, and/or they are being joined to out of region games hence a lot of dodgy "netcode" stuff, etc. possibly due to the launch demand.

The good thing is that the majority of cheaters don't yet know how to use it

I've seen 1-2 streamers who are almost certainly using this kind of setup - unlike traditional software cheats they can much more easily share "their" screen while actually playing from the second display with the overlay. The giveaway is the way people fine tune their aim using strafing, etc. which doesn't happen the same when someone is relying more on some form of aim assist - only a tiny tiny number of top level players have that kind of aim disconnect in reality.

You can choose to play the game as a headless chicken, or, play it more tactically using the mini map information and within your squad & team.
Selecting to spawn on a squadmate whilst they are in the middle of a battle or dangerzone WILL put you at very likely probability of an instant take down again.

Every class has signature weapons they have benefits with using, Assault its AR's, Engineers its SMG's Support LMG's Snipers Sniper rifles. If your playing open weapons any class can use any weapon yes but i still think if your using the favoured weapon for the class you get the extra benefits. Im sure its just subtle stuff, like support can gets no movement penalty for running with LMG where other classes do
clips yesterday in the firing range with sniper rifles missing headshots when other classes use them

What do you mean with this one?

Aim assist works best when you're constantly moving with your left stick, it's the same in all games that have some form of aim assist (Call of Duty is on another level for how strong their AA is) but in The Finals, BF, OW2 etc. aim assist is always 'stronger' and recoil is less if you're constantly moving your left stick.

Unless I've missed your point here!

I'm talking in the context of KB&M player and cheats - most keyboard and mouse players there is a connection between their movement and aim which is different when they use an aim bot, which can be a giveaway they are cheating even when it is dialled down rather than rapid/instant target switching.

Glad they've commented on the bloom issue - assault rifles especially feel really inconsistent.

I'm enjoying it overall but do think it's missing the scale of previous BF titles - hoping that will come in time with new maps/ content.

You say that but the game actually blocks you from spawning on Squadmates while they are in a fight and even tells you that they're in "danger close" situation if enemies are around them. I'm talking about when it seems completely clear and safe to spawn on them and still get killed straight away after spawning on them.

So I either spawn on my squad and try and play "tactically" like you say resulting in instant death 70% of the time, or I spawn alone on a random point resulting in me most likely running into 4-5 enemies and being wiped out very quickly due to the TTK.

The problem is really the TTK is too fast so u can barely react to taking fire and the maps are terrible. Also 90% of the team are just running around like headless chickens from point to point. I'll sometimes try and stay behind to defend the point, but that just results in tyring to defend against a zerg of 10 headless chickens from the other team storming the point.

Had a few games early this morning, borderline unplayable. Felt like I was one second behind, my shot's were not registering but I was been downed in what felt like one shot constantly. The Beta ran & felt great, but at present I think I'll wait for a update/ patch & take a break.

Unlocked the deploy beacon with assault yesterday.
And SVK as secondary DMR for two-shot snipes. Camping snipers get shot once and don't hide for another second as they believe it was a bolt action
Assault is way OP.

Yep I get it BUT you can play this game with a long TTK.
Check the scoreboard in your matches - there is always a top 3 to 5 players on both teams with a lot of kills and a low number deaths.

I was in a game with my son last night and he got 27 kills and 2 deaths, playing as Support with an SMG

I normally play sim racing games and in the lower 'Rookie' leagues/races it's always carnage at the start and through the race. Which can put players off continuing. But once you get out of these low ranks, and into races where players know how to drive safely & fast it's really good racing.

Probably the same with Battle Field 6 (any FPS) - the lower match making is with n00bs, who don't know how to play and simply rush, die, rush, die, rush...repeat
