And the salt.

Probably does far more damage on motorbikes compared to pushbikes (and higher price as well) Salts got some of my hand tools, a packet of road salt tipped over to box of tools...totally ruined them :(
Give it a wash, it's a non issue. I commuted year round on my SV and it had no more rust after I'd put 60k miles on it than it did before.

I did go bye bye on ice once or twice though... All good fun :D

It's back!!!
So far, so good, just need to give it a proper ride to check all is well.
Nearly got flattened by some daft bint who didn't see me, and that was before I even got off the dealers premises (I'll post a vid later).
I immediately took off the standard can and put the asbo one back on :D

Unfortunately it'll now get laid up for winter.
Now that's what colour a Kawasaki should be!

Had a quick ride after work and it's all good.
One thing that's always bothered me is that (with every rider aid turned off) it's never power wheelied (and was hard to even clutch it up), and it's always felt like anti wheelie control has cut in or the clutch was slipping, but now it'll point it's nose at the heavens no problem + the quick shifter/blipper is working perfectly, whereas before it was all over the place.
I reckon it was clutch slip as between 10-13.5K revs it holds it's torque now and feels like the missile it is.
I've been holding off fitting these (absolutely genuine, not at all fake Ali-X covers), as I didn't want the dealer to squirm out of the warranty claim by saying I'd fitted aftermarket bits..

Tyre pressures. What do you lot roll with? The stuff in the user book, or the stuff on the tyres themselves?

Also also, probably a question for @JonRGV250 - how loose does the chain have to be for it to fail? It's loose, but not terribly so. Not sure if I'm overthinking it.

Careful about using the provided screws for those not-fake covers, if this also bargain-loving guy is to be believed. There's also some s000rr forum thread about at least the screws being dodgy. If I recall correctly, my actually real ones on my S1000RR were longer than stock, so yeah good luck pet man.

The pressure on the tyre is the max it'll handle not a recommended pressure. Go by the manual, check your chain tension by the manual as well. Generally 25-35mm movement is pretty safe

Thanks, I'll see how it goes (the covers were advertised as having "proper" bolts), but who knows.
I've got a pretty good feel for not snapping bolts etc, so should be ok (famous last words).

Vid from when I picked my now fixed bike up today, and 20 seconds later I nearly didn't have a bike again.
I've removed the audio because the mods would have kittens if they heard the language..

She was sorry though, so that's just fine and dandy

@Syla5 that is the stupid **** you need to be aware of ALL the time.

Book is 42 rear 36 front. I tend to run ~38 rear ~33 front for road

I wonder if someone sprays the bike, leathers and helmet with this paint how much more crashes would there be, interesting if they did scientific tests (same for cars in this paint also) Only the indicators/lights are unpainted.

Quite obviously your fault...bike isn't bright enough.
