I tried upgrading and it all went wrong

That's with a graphics card, right? I assume you're aware there's no graphics with this CPU.
Yeah right now I have a 5600, 1 stick of Ram and the 1060 6GB. I've tried both HDMI ports on the 1060.

I think the PC is in BIOS in the background because the cap lock button lights up the keyboard. So the main problem I think is fixed its just not getting a signal.
It's a Asus 1060 6GB expedition and the indicator light on the power connection is white (it turns red when the power cable is removed). So I think it's alive...? Confused!!

Kinda debating whether to open the B580 and try it with that...

You could try the solution here:

When pressing the Delete key and ending up at a black screen, you are likely at the BIOS menu but the display hasn't received the handshake properly to wake up.

Try powering the machine on without a monitor and get to the BIOS by pressing the Delete key first. Then, plug the display cable in.
Alternatively, you can try getting to BIOS but with the monitor power cable unplugged. After getting into the BIOS, plug the monitor power cable in.
Sometimes, the timing can be tricky. It may help to watch the motherboard indicator LEDs, and to plug the display cable or power cable in when the LED turns solid white.

Good news guys. I tried it on a 1080p TV from 2007 and it displayed the BIOS ( I was trying it on a 4K Asus monitor before)

So next I can add back my cable for the SSD and then install windows from a bootable USB right. And once that is all done I put in the rest of the RAM sticks?

Did you sign in to Windows through a Microsoft account, or have a Microsoft account linked to it? If so, you may be able to retrieve the key from that account.

I managed to find the key. Everything seems to be working fine now. Stress tested the 5600 and put in 2 sticks of Ram and enabled XMP.

Think I will leave the B580 for tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for the help. A great relief that its all worked out
