Samsung Galaxy S25 Family Thread

Anyone got any experience of the FE? Might be looking to try Android again, not that impressed with iOS 26. Can get one for £388 from Voxi, seems a decent price. I know it doesn’t have as much RAM and an Exynos processor compared to the Snapdragon but, is it really that noticeable? Not going to be gaming on it, just regular use.

The s25fe is basically nearly a s24+ (with the exynos chip)

I've got a vanilla s24 with exynos. I'm comparing to the s23 (Snapdragon) that I used just before as well. It's okay for day to day use, but can definitely tell that the modem/call time is much worse than the Snapdragon equivalent.

Anyone got the edge? I am wondering how it is for battery life for someone who mostly watches YouTube and surfs the internet?

I've used one, they're fine. The worry about the size is totally overblown. Might need to think about charging maybe an hour or two earlier. So if you make it to bed normally with 30% like I used to with my ultra and do now with my fold you'll be fine for all day.

So I've begrudgingly picked up a 25 Ultra again, despite the issues I had with it earlier this year and notification timings.

This time around, the phone will be primarily for testing purposes, to ensure that our new device policy and tech work properly on a mobile device, from both an employee and customer perspective.

I did manage to get it for around £700 including a 2 year mobile plan, which seems exceptionally good value.

£205 upfront + £21 a month mobile plan.

Good price, what phone did you trade in ti get that price, i am looking for a 25U deal myself.

Is this offer available now? What network? :)

I'm not sure, you'd have to take a look. It's on Samsung's website.

At the time, they had 3 operators on their website:

O2, Three and Vodafone.

O2 and Three had the cheapest monthly options, at £18 per month, however I've had poor experiences with both networks, and the business uses Vodafone.

If you're not keen on a contract, it's probably not the best option for you, but not sure if you can cancel the contract mid way and pay the remainder - if you can, then it would still be a reasonable deal.

Does a contract matter? It's the total cost that's important. Unless you need an amazing credit score for an upcoming mortgage or something.

No it dont really matter i guess, i just dont like more direct debits going from my account really, and as you say, its cheaper to get the S25U with a contract than on its own, wish the phone on its own was this cheap.

It's a win win really as you get a decent plan for nothing too. And spread the cost.
I'd just open a spare bank account and have stuff like that coming out of it. Separate to my main account.
