New Microwave

I normally respect that website finding, however our experiences of using an inverter microwave for defrosting is a lot better than our old one. Less cooking the edges and overall more even defrosting of meat.

I guess it could be that our old microwave was crap, but then the above article implies even cheap ones perform equally as well

Seems to be tricky to find an inverter/flatbed unit, that doesn't have dubious plastic-like material on the inside.

Yes that was the problem I had, it's even worse if you want manual controls.

Personal preference sure, but I absolutely despise buttons on a microwave, completely unnecessary.

2 knobs, 1 power, 1 time, it's all you need.

Why I ended up getting a commercial one, it's the only one I could find that ticked all the boxes.

You should get a microwave with a app, new microwaves have a camera inside the cooking compartment so you can use your phone app to view what's inside the microwave, whilst you're standing in front of the microwave.

Incredibly useful feature.

We just replaced our 12 year old Russell Hobbs with a new one, 25l and black with no dials (wife specs) for £100, hope it too gives 12 years.
