3c here this morning. Windows are soaked.
im sure ive read theres going to a heatwave next julyHonestly those long range forecasts.
'It will be mild, but sometimes it will not be mild'

After been out most of Saturday in the Dales i can truly say its COLD ! i was frozen to the bone.
i wish i had , i wore jeans a thick fleece lined hoodie with a rain coat over the top still too cold , was out from 10:20 - 17:15 when we eventually got home had a boiling shower to warm up.If I go out anywhere at this time of the year it is thin fleece or vest, a thicker fleece, a fleece gilet and a wind/waterproof jacket. Lined trousers as well.
Was it sunny/dry up there this weekend or wet? After been out most of Saturday in the Dales i can truly say its COLD ! i was frozen to the bone.
they'd be putting the heating back on or they could explain to my line manager why i'm away home again!well to add the coldness , office this morning someone has turned the heating off over the weekend and they wont put it back on today , currently sat here in a hoodie , Hood up and another one over my legs. is this just a case of me getting old i remember in my 20s just wearing shorts all year round now its got to be hot for me to do it
think am at that point i am on my last week of been here tho before moving on to new pastures , and my own home officethey'd be putting the heating back on or they could explain to my line manager why i'm away home again!
you're last week in the place and you're sat there baltic, with more layers on you than an onion.....you're naw right in the head. if that heating hadn't been sorted by 9:30 i'd have been taking myself away somewhere warmer!think am at that point i am on my last week of been here tho before moving on to new pastures , and my own home office
Down side now is there is no legal limit to how cold or hot it can be in an office , there are only guidelines nowyou're last week in the place and you're sat there baltic, with more layers on you than an onion.....you're naw right in the head. if that heating hadn't been sorted by 9:30 i'd have been taking myself away somewhere warmer!
I remember once many years ago several of us walking out of a nightshift as the dayshift had used all the gas bottle heating up during the day.Down side now is there is no legal limit to how cold or hot it can be in an office , there are only guidelines now
just put a jumper on... theres no health issues at 16c if it drops below 16c and your not doing physical work you can complain though., 16c should be the minimum legally required for office workers.if the temp has dropped below 16c in an office, it isn't.
I worked in a factory, a pre war building that had holes in the roof and buckets for when it rained. It was just above zero when we did it. I don't actually consider office work work.just put a jumper on... theres no health issues at 16c if it drops below 16c and your not doing physical work you can complain though., 16c should be the minimum legally required for office workers.
13c if your actually working.
I;ve been in warehouses colder than that.... I remember working in a coat

A fair few years ago we did the same one. Nightshift we all walked out , we didn't get paid either but it screwed company up for daysI remember once many years ago several of us walking out of a nightshift as the dayshift had used all the gas bottle heating up during the day.
Yes we lost a night's pay. Yes the company lost probably thousands in production costs. And yes, the next night there was plenty of heating...
It might only be guidance now but I'd be throwing the health and safety at work law at them. It has to be comfortable, and if the temp has dropped below 16c in an office, it isn't.
