——The Official Battlefield 6 Thread——

That and flares don’t even stop the lock on missiles.
At this point just give me remastered BF4 and 4 maps. And not the awful version they want ala Firestorm map with that stupid colour filter on it. They couldn’t even do that right.
Yeah I dont like this map. Its just too flat with no cover and like 5 buildings fells really lazy.

Its not just lock on from spawn all the laser paint you from spawn too

They've don't seem to have simplified the challenges either. I thought they were going to lower some of the requirements to make completing them easier. That 6000 repair score in a single match is pretty impossible without cheesing the system (i.e. taking a vehicle to the edge of the map, damaging it, then fix it, repeat).
I think they stated in would get rejigged sometime in the future, not this patch.

The new generation of developers love their menus. Must be about 5-6 menus / loading screens before jumping out of the transport helicopter in the BR mode.

loading screens before
I was annoyed before update, hold space to skip intro video, another space to actually get to the game
sure enough, they added two more things to skip using Esc
and the space to skip "mission briefing" after joining the game, that doesn't brief anything

The battle royal has grown on me.
Had a blast playing with friends last night.
Its still infuriating playing with randoms though, they are totally dog ****

This thread has helped me - I'm going to wait for a discount and buy it later. I'd rather have a patched, stable, balanced game for £50 than be a Beta tester for £70

Ok it has some things that need fixing and improving along with quite a few rubbish maps, but it's hardly beta tester state. Thats a bit unfair to all those that paid their hard earned cash on it.

We all played the open beta a few months back, I didn't see many complaining then.

Disgusting really locking challenges behind battle Royale. Even if you re-roll them, chances are they will stay on redsec missions.

Why can't they seperate the main game from the BR for the battle pass?

Well I knew some of the maps were going to be ass and it would be more like COD ( small maps )

But the Battle Pass locked with rerolls behind Battle Royale is something else
Compared to Black Ops I think the maps are huge so I’m not complaining.Tried Warzone but it got boring running around for 5 minutes just to be shot in the back

I had a very quick go, felt the same, it had it's moments where it was cool but I think I'll go back to my old school conquest etc...

I've jumped in a few rounds - My immediate thoughts are, where is the space, the room to breathe? It's none stop action, on all maps. Even BF1 and 5 were less chaotic.

To be clear, that's not a complaint, but it's certainly more towards modern shooters (CoD) than the original BF's. As for maps, they are very small and it's a very small map rotation, I'd have expected a lot more from previous games to be included given the cannon is from the same world?

Not tried the campaign more than 5 minutes, the first mission felt VERY rough out the gate so I gave up.

I'll jump in here and there, but the matches are already filled with slide cancelling try hards so it's not really going to work for me I reckon.

I regret buying this for full price on launch. I skipped BFV (played a little when it was on game pass) and 2042 and stupidly thought this would be a return to form for Dice. I've put 10 hours into the multiplayer and haven't booted it up in a week. Bad maps, weapons are not really clicking for me, no proper server browser, cannot turn off cross-play on PC, horrible UI (why do I need to click 20 times to change attachments, just do simple menu like BF4) and zero interest in battle royale modes.

Might be worth revisiting in a year after a boatload of patches and new maps - they are starting going kind of crazy with the microtransactions and battle passes though so we'll see. Back to BF1/4 or RO2/Rising Storm 2/HLL for my first person multiplayer shooter fix.

Had a game where my squad focused on working together.
Such an enjoyable game! Very few are like it

One of the best games I ever had in BF4 got on a squad with some guys who were supposedly from an actual infantry regiment - I can't remember which now, from their use of technical jargon, etc. and they sounded just like squaddies I'm pretty sure they were legit and not people role playing and their tactics were nailed down - we totally rolled the server despite some good players on the other team.

Totally agree with this, I generally play with randoms and when you get a team that works together it is a great game. I still see some hit reg issues though not as bad.

Agree 56.2 hours played if I was aware of the maps being so small & on the bad side id not have purchased I think the 2042 maps are better. And the hit reg is so bad at the moment :(
