Arc Raiders

Cozy games are things like Stardew Valley and Farmville etc, literally "cozy" games, if you take a look at Stardew Valley on Steam its got over 350,000 reviews at 98%, but if you dont get the gameplay of it, you'd watch it or play it and ask is this supposed to be fun?

Or to put it in more straight forward terms, one mans fun is another mans anathema

I'd rather play BF6 than this. But I don't think things like skill trees and leveling up in general belong in pvp shooters. Looting I don't enjoy much usually but it makes sense in same games, pubg for example is fine.

Yup and theres nothing wrong with you preferring BF6, extraction shooters is a genre which arent for everyone (just as there are people who hate twitch shooters or battle royale games), which is why I have said throughout the thread that people should research the game rather than buy it blindly based on other peoples (who do like extraction shooters) feedback or FOMO.

solos are funny... 8 people at the olive garden on blue gate all looking for olives... gotta look after your ****!

Rather confusing game for me also a lot just doesn't make sense...
you wont understand it all in the first 5-10 hours.. I've played for 30 hours and only just started figuring a lot out.. game makes a lot more sense and you'll understand the loot the more you play it, what gear is best in certain situations and the crafting system. also take advantage of the free loadouts for learning maps to just mess about with!

ive gone into buried city with free loadouts before and literally just pressed W and mouse1 and came out with some crazy gear.

I am absolutely terrible at this game
BTW anyone with an HDR display, if you haven't already enable RTX HDR - it's like a different game visually. Devs are absolutely nuts not implementing it natively!

I am only about 3 hours in to be honest struggling to give it a bit more time not game much and bf6 is still keeping me entertained for now....

Me and @gr1mey (paddeh) had a bunch of really good games, we looted the secure rooms with a 3rd, about 4-5 times. Good progress, still need to find some lemons!

FYI When you get the quest to kill Arc with the flame thrower you can craft in game, you won't get it killing the ticks :( Don't try it on the suicide bots it doesn't kill them fast enough, I guess you have to have a flame vs flame war with a Fireball, I don't like the idea of that!

Wonder what this is all about!

Loving the prox chat / player interaction, its great.

Just met a guy from Moscow in solos, we chatted and extracted together. Partied up and went into duos. Met 2 other duos and explored a bit together before separating as we had different quests. Few minutes left in the raid on Buried City, me and the guy from Moscow went to the last extract, called the metro and heard one of the guys from earlier over prox chat. Kept the extract open for him and his duo to get there and we all extracted together.

I think this level of co-op / trust comes from the ARC being a real threat, unlike most other extraction shooters where the PvE element is a distraction more than anything else. Maybe it'll get old but at the moment I think they've found a really cool niche in the genre from my experience so far. You'd never get this in Tarkov!
