Arc Raiders

Another 5 rounds so far today without anyone shooting at me, the tranquil travels of tombstone continue :)
First time in the thread - I've been too busy playing :D but this point made me recall an article I read which suggested that people who are peaceful on the server are more likely to be placed on a server with other peaceful players.

That said, I also read a post on relatively small-scale (around 300 games in total) player-lead research on PS5 vs PC player-base. Two brothers, one on each, played about 150 games each, and would approach every raider with a "Don't shoot!" and peaceful demeanour - and the PS5 player was attacked many times more than the PC player. Bloodthirsty consolers :D

However, AR is an amazing game. I just wish they'd do something about the free loadout zombies. I'm am getting over Gear Fear, but it's frustrating as anything to be attacked non-stop by Stitcher and Rattler wielding lunatics who have nothing to lose. It only takes one bad move to get wasted. Anyway, I think they should buff free loadout weapons vs Arc, and nerf them against other players. If you want to fight other players, then bring your own equipment!

I'm a free-loadout zombie!!

I start the night with a free loadout and then on a successful return i'll trade it for a free green augment from lance and level up the free guns as much as I can. Rinse and repeat and eventually sell all of that nights earnings.

I'm running a lot of the time with an absolutely minimal loadout. Just a basic weapon for ticks, poppers, and flamers and a Looting 2 augment, just for looting runs in night mode, in the hope of getting blueprints.

I'll only tool up for attacking Arcs when I need the firepower but too often I get wiped out anyway!

I do that sometimes as well.

Particularly if I'm playing with randoms.

I know I should be doing quests....
I know I should be advancing my workbenches
But...... I keep killing raiders. Trigger keeps slipping. I then get everything handed to me for free.

Free loadouts have their place, but used primarily for PvP that's when I have an issue with them - or their users, to be more precise.

Anyone whose been hip-deep in ARC and then found themselves finished off from behind (oo-er!) with a Stitcher I will feel my frustration :D

Stitcher's are one of the best PVP weapons and really cheap to craft and upgrade. It's one of the issues with the game that the Ferro and the Stitcher which you can get for free via a free loadout or are easy to craft and upgrade are better than many of the higher tier guns.

I pretty much exclusively pvp (if anyone has been following my posts in the thread since the beginning) with the stitcher. I've been shouting its quality from very early on, its actually devastating in pvp, highly underrated weapon, dismissed by a lot of people because its not got a sexy colour. I've dropped so many people with it, even after giving them the first hit on me. A stitcher 4, with the biggest magazine on it, is just like a point and click til the person dies magic wand :)

I've got like 4 L4 stitchers in my stash, I'll usually run Anvil for Arc Stitcher for people. Though lately, its been taking a rest. I've been taking the Bettina out more often since I got the Blueprint. It can be devistating!

I am so far behind you guys. I died 4 times yesterday when I first started playing the games and lost the first weapons you got. 3 of the deaths to Arcs, 1 time to a player that shoot me in the back when I was trying to activate the elevator to go back to base with my loot. Shucked a tad since I had a lvl 3 Ferro equipped. Today only done 3 runs, but they were all free loud outs, and got another Ferro, which I upgraded to a lvl 3 now. Just running to get some resources so I can make my benches. :p

Any tips as to know what to sell and what to keep ??

Had some good games this afternoon.

3 man squads with a bit of looting and PVP mix, very fun I must admit. This game is so much better if you have a couple decent people to play with.

I play with my mate on teh weekend which is good, but he just sucks so badly at any form of PVP, if we run in to someone gauranteed ill be trying to fight two people by myself, every time lol.

Last couple of times I've logged on I've logged off pretty much straight away again. I have 82+ hours played time so got my moneys worth just don't feel the itch to keep playing.

I've not played in a few days, I feel like the game is more fun when there's an objective, and the trials right now are in an extremely broken state and not worth the grind to fully keep up with. I think once reset rolls around it will be good to add everything back and have fun going after objectives again. Right now the problem is with maxed out loot, even if you bring yourself to log into a map, there's no real pull to go anywhere. You feel like you should go for a high loot area but most of that loot will just end up being sold due to lack of space, or be rapidly used to replace anything you lose.

I'm pretty sure in the next 5-6 days when there's only about a week left, I will just run all my best guns into battle and just go full PVP and throw being nice out the window for a week.

They badly need new decks to work towards, and fix the trials. Introduce some new events etc. I also need to find more people to play with because honestly the best PvP in the game is in groups with friends who are competent and use comms. A lot of the friends I made early have dropped off.

I'm Frosty#1048 in game if anyone wants to add me who is looking to team up for some duos or trios.

I will mate my in game name is the same as this forum.

The only thing I play at really weird times, basically when I get a chance, ands that's quite often not in the evening when most people do.

I’ve put around 12 hours in from buying it yesterday morning to this evening. My wee dude is level 15 IIRC.

I’m a nice/don’t shoot kinda guy, unless I’ve got a quest or whatever it’s called to go a certain amount of damage to a raider.

I’ve been taking the free loadout for the missions that require me to find or do specific things. Since that’s all I’m in to do I don’t need awesome guns & shields equipped.

Only really played on Dam map mostly but have done a couple of buried city and the third map once. The game looks bloody fantastic (in 1440P on an OLED) and can see me sinking a whole lot more time into it.

Also, CDKeys have it for a good chunk off for those get to jump in.
