New Bambu Labs P2S

Does anyone use a paving slab to dampen vibration and noise? I currently have mine on a reasonably heavy set of drawers and it seems to vibrate a fair bit even on standard print mode. I have heard you can get a paving slab and a bit of foam and it makes a big difference. I will be putting on a sit stand desk thats a little less robust than the drawers. They sell for £4.20 in Wickes so might nip and pick one up on the way home.
I use one on my A1 mini, it is very effective at reducing the wobble/vibration and noise.

For those who've had the P2S delivered recently did you get an notification of the delivery day and that was accurate?

When I order my X1C, 3 years ago now ffs, I had it delivered to my work address but the delivery label didn't have my works name on it. That was a hassled week getting that sorted.

I ask as I want to order an H2S and I will have it delivered to my home address, but I'll need to take the day off work to receive it.

My P1S and everything else I have ordered form Bambu came via DPD so once it ships you get full tracking including an estimated delivery slot of 2 hours.

Cheers. My X1C was delivered by Yodel and I did say to Bambu Lab. at the time, Yodel are a joke in the UK and the reply was "yes we've had a few complaints".

I ordered a P1S last Friday at 10am, had a delivery notification from DPD by 1pm. On the Saturday I had a delivery notification in the morning to say they will deliver between 12 and 1pm. It arrived at 12.30.

The rest of the bits I ordered arrived on the Monday by DPD with the alloted time they gave me that morning.

So in theory I could order Friday morning before work and it could arrive Saturday. That's good to know.

I wasn't expecting it Saturday, was a bit disappointed as I didn't have any PLA and I knew they shipped printers and consumables separately. The consumables didn't have a delivery notification. Then when it arrived I was surprised to find there was half a roll included in the box!

Yeah, I ordered on Sat Evening. Received a despatch notification on sunday then a delivery notification of monday morning for between 3-4pm and it was here with no issues.

P2S has been working great so far but holy cow is it noisy compared to the A1 :p I've never had a problem with the A1 on overnight but the P2S is way louder and can hear it in the bedroom.

Yeah, I have just bought a paving slab and will be using that trick when i move things about.

I'm tempted getting the p2s with ams2 combo. I do have a study room upstairs but I'm concerned it might be too noisy in that room as it's adjacent to my kids bedrooms and they're light sleepers. I could try it with the concrete slab and foam layer setup for dampening, but my garage would be the alternative. My only concern there is humidity, could it work if I kept filaments in an air tight container between prints or maybe take advantage of ams drying? Anyone else run their printer in a garage?

It’s pretty loud regardless of whether it’s on a solid surface or not.

My P1S lives in the garage and it’s perfectly happy out there.
Thanks, do you do anything special around humidity with the filaments or just leave on the printer/ams?

I just leave them on the AMS, it’s pretty air tight, the new one is also a dryer as well.

PLA isn't as badly effected anyway, PETG is though.

I just use vacuum bags with some desiccant in otherwise.

If you make some desiccant holders go the AMS, consider how hot the AMS may get and the glass temp of PLA.

I haven't had any issues with wet PLA unless it's been open for absolutely ages like 12 months. I usually use rolls within a few months. As mentioned though PETG is a nightmare if wet

Yes, I used some PLA the other day that was in a vacuum bag but I hadn't vacuumed it. A little bit of stringing but nothing I was unhappy about.

Fresh roll of PETG and it was stringy as a stringy thing. 3 hours in a filament dryer and most of the stringing, and surface defects, gone.

I am using up some pla that is over 5 years old currently. I bought it for my ender but didnt use it. Its some old Geeetech stuff. I dried it in an ender bed overnight when i got my A1 a few months back and its been kept in a bag but so far its worked utterly fantastic with no stringing and almost no imperfections in the print on the P2S with Generic Pla preset. I almost out of the black now and will use the grey up soon.

I have been printing some accessories over the weekend like door screw covers, clip in poop bin, rear belt cover vents/covers and i printed a little plate to cover up the holes at the back of the printer where little bits of filament can drop in but for some reason they dont seem to fit very well.

Having a recurring problem of poop waste building up where the metal wiper is that sends purged filament down the poop shoot. I've just had to spend an hour getting it off the nozzle as it had built up so much it had started to surround the nozzle. It appears sometimes it's purging too much before the metal wiper sends it down the shoot and it gets stuck

Wipe the inside of the shoot with a bit of silicone lubricant spray if you have some.

There is usually space for multiple purges in the shoot should one not quite eject properly but if they are sticking to the sides, they’ll never drop. The lubricant will stop it sticking.
