I'm just going to route it between the door frame and the wall. Then down behind some uPVC trim through the floor then into the garage and the data cabinet easy peasy hours work. The thing that puts me off the new doorbells are they are RJ45 only.
I’ve got no issues putting holes in walls but the cable route to get to the front door is an utter nightmare as it’s in a small single story section that sits lightly forward of the main wall of the house.
There is no doubt a massive steel lintel blocking in the cable route.
I’ve got both coming. We have a locked, gated driveway and so the doorbell lite will be mounted on the brick pillar.Doorbell Lite looks really nice, nothing overly fancy just a camera and a nice big button on the front.
Chime is smaller than I thought it was as well, can't decide wether or not to wall or ceiling mount it.
I don't think they do sales at all. What are the chances of some black Friday deals popping up soon?
I wish my data centre engineers were this neat! Nice cable management! The USW-Pro-XG-48-PoE is installed, but it's a little tight in the cabinet.

Up next is a USW-Pro-XG-Aggregation, which will replace USW-Pro-Aggregation
Then the Xmas project, all being well, is a UACC-Rack-12U-Wall to replace the Excel 15U 600MM

Agreed.I understand that it's a cheap device, but it looks it as well.
It doesn't look cheap in the flesh. It looks and feels clean and simple, nice and solid.I understand that it's a cheap device, but it looks it as well.
