hey all,

I'm a tad out of the hardware loop and awas wondering why this SSD seems to be available at a much lesser price point than other 4TBs

Seems a canny chunk of storage and decent speeds from what I can see
 
It doesn't have any DRAM cache and uses a single sided layout which is more cost effective.

If it’s going to get heavy use then you want the DRAM cache basically which is found on the higher end models.

Good price isn’t it? I’ve just ordered a 4tb. The performance difference to the Pro is immaterial for me and I don’t think we will see 4tb at that price again for a while. Pick mine up from le Sainsbury’s local on monday.
 
I reckon that pricing was a mistake, mine was supposed to be for pickup today but it's been delayed and now says pickup next Monday. I doubt it's actually gonna turn up tbh.
