Possibly. Perhaps I should try upgrading and then see if it lets me "stack" an extra year at the 33% discount some are being offered.

edit: Took one for the team and upgraded. No discounted option for stacking another year. You all owe me 8 quid now :D
I read about cancelling working on Reddit, so it has worked for other people, I wonder how Sony decides who gets a discount.

PS Plus Extra had it for a year and time to renew.

It shows £99.99 for the year but now has 25% off so costing me £74.99

I could use shopto voucher and get 12 months PS extra for £67.85

Is that a good deal ?

ShopTo sometimes have a 15% (or greater) discount on certain PS gift cards, which would make it a few quid cheaper, but this is essentially the best deal for PS+.

Good to see the Digital console down to £290 for BF btw. A much more sensible price for this far into the generation.

Quite nice for the consoles though - like £130 off for PS5 pro (£570) at one high-street retailer + a free FC26 game.

Also an online retailer offering a slightly less generous £110 off a PS5 pro but if you sign up for their credit deal then you get a further 20% off (and can just go with the interest free 3 payments option)... so basically a PS5 pro for £470 complete with a free game - bargain!

I didn’t think that 20% is valid on playstation products.

Edit : you are right, it doesn't say that anymore but it definitely used to, and still excludes Nintendo and Xbox consoles...weird. interesting. Have you actually tried the deal/does it work?

I used a 20% off Very code at the launch of the Pro and it worked fine.

It does work. I'm half tempted to trade in my PS5 towards it, which would bring the cost down to around £260. However, it might be better to just sell the PS5 myself.

Yes it did, and then they stopped it and added that it didn't apply to PlayStation consoles.

Now however it doesnt mention excluding PlayStation consoles again. Which is odd considering it excluded Nintendo and Xbox ones.

I haven't (yet) but I did see others have had some success doing it - I'm currently debating it, I do feel perhaps it's a bit unethical/taking advantage of them if not actually taking credit (I mean technically the interest free option is credit too but potentially we're just eating their entire margin or even causing a loss there). Secondary to that, I'm not sure I'm going to be available for the delivery if I were to order it now and nor do I want it chucked around in the back of my local coop.

So I'll probably, for convenience (and not to feel too guilty), go for the Argos offer (also makes returns easier if any issues arise with it in future).

Just bought the Pro with disc drive for £500 from very using the welcome code. Didn't plan on buying one but it seemed too good to pass on that deal. With prices only going up and probably even more due to ram going through the roof, I'll probably get a good chunk of that back for tradein when ps6 comes out

Sorted out my cheap PlayStation Plus Premium: 12 Month Subscription for £68.49 (two £40 Vouchers from shopto using BASKET CODE 'BLACKFRIDAY' for £68.10)
Had issue with codes on working on website, but was fine when I put them in directly on the PS5.
Then paid the £80.39 sale price using the vouchers plus £0.39 for a total cost of £68.49.

That is a very good price! Well done.

I thought I did well for £570 just for the pro.

Wish I found that very deal now.

Maybe I use very now for a 32" oled....

I've just done 12month Extra subscription I paid £64.63 using PSN credit from loaded and shopto.

Now it saying I can pay £13.76 and upgrade to premium for 12 months. Not sure if it's worth it.

I like the idea of cloud steaming to my portal but not sure how many games support it.

I have a decent enough PC, Ryzen 7600 and 5070ti and I'm guessing most on here have gaming PCs too so is the PS5 Slim/Pro worth getting? To be honest I never really considered it but the prices for both seem good at the moment, I'm guessing we mightn't see prices this low again on the Slim/Pro for a long time with RAM prices. I also have an OLED TV just curious if there's any real point if I already have a decent PC

Worthiness will depend on the individual, their expectations etc. All I can say is that I have a high end PC and have no regrets about buying a PS5 Pro. The console is for when I want to have a chilled gaming session in the comfort of my living room rather than sitting at a desk. I use the PS5 Pro for 1st party exclusives and JRPGs ( which are usually developed with consoles in mind ) ; PC is for everything else eg. strategy games, racing / flight sims, graphically or CPU intensive games and anything that I think mouse & keyboard will work better with.

Does any of you guys have the PS Dualsense edge controller and what do you think of it ?

Am guessing it will also work with my PC ?

Similar PC to me (265k + 5070 Ti) and I still find it worth owning a PS5 Pro - but I do think it's subjective. I tend to play almost all single player/story games on the PS5 Pro, regardless of whether they're PS exclusives or not. Even with a good PC, I still have occasions where new titles just don't run nicely right away on PC (Jedi Survivor) whereas on PS5 Pro they often just work.

It's not the case all the time - and there are games that I've started on console then swapped to PC (and vice versa in some instances) - but I do really find that my PS5 Pro is great for just sitting and enjoying a good story game.

Yep, big fan of mine. Coming up on 3 years in January since owning it, only changes I've made have been swapping the original rubber grips out for a replacement (the very original batch of DS Edge controllers had bubbling/warped grips) but otherwise I'd recommend it 9/10 times to anyone wanting an 'enthusiast' controller.

I also use it on both PC and PS5, works great on both.

Just trying to choose what to buy before the black friday sales finish
One the things am thinking of is a PS5 pro to upgrade my standard PS5 (Disc version) and i can either buy a disc drive for it or the Dualsense edge controller

Guess it comes down to whether the majority of your existing games are currently on disc or whether you'd 'benefit' more from the Dualsense Edge!

I only recently got a disc drive (as in the past few months) as I was pretty happy with just going digital and using PS gift cards to fund store purchases but with a few games coming out I was a bit unsure on how much I'd play them after release so wanted the option of selling on!
