***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I got the D also.

I went full extreme couponing, stacked 7% discounted gift cards via a work benefits scheme and then they have 10% cashback on top of that plus Lego points (10%?) on top to use on a future purchase.

I’ll probably sell the castle GWP also, the hot chocolate stand can go with Mrs Sk8’s winter village for Xmas :p

Whats the change in ebay rules? I've spent the best part of 2 years putting all my sons lego back into kits and have the first batch ready to sell. I was going to use ebay.

So its free to list, no seller fees to sell (buyer protection fee paid by buyer instead now which actually works way better) and ebay simple delivery means providing you select royal mail as the option and not Evri, all that is handled too so you just take the qr code to the post office and its sent tracked 48 or 24 if the buyer chooses express.

Ebay deal with the insurance.

The simple delivery pricing on tracked is way cheaper than you can buy normally and as it's royal mail tracked then parcel size/weight covers all lego options. Just don't offer Evri as an option for your own sanity and delivery tracking/reliability.

You can also select large parcel and custom to choose your own courier. When they rolled out the changes in the summer this took a while to function as intended.

Ebay manage payments now and as a private seller depending on your seller performance you can withdraw next day and for me transfer to bank is instant.

Because of simple delivery, you dont incur costs as if seller pays it's auto transaction. You can post right away although the money won't necessarily increase your withdrawal Ebay balance until 1-3 days later depending on seller performance.

Having sold a fair bit on eBay (£1000's) from my collection (Lego plus other vintage to modern action / toy genres) the latest changes have been a great improvement. Especially simple delivery and managed payments so no issues of PayPal charge backs against you etc.

Just make sure you select royal mail as the delivery option and don't allow Evri.

Price the lego well and you normally sell very quickly and if the cheapest will hit Google shopping pages through the seo.

Tempted to get the Enterprise set - probably get a couple, build one with my son and save the other one to sell off in a couple of years.

It looks phenomenal in store and it is pretty big. Requires an ikea Billy extra deep bookcase or healthy sized display unit.

The youtube reviews don't do it justice.

It's well worth buying to get the shuttle too.

I'm afraid you've missed the boat on this one because....

This has now gone and was the only reason to purchase over BF weekend.

You would have also got 2 other GWP also, Micro scale castles which will be worth a few £ on the secondary market but this has now also gone. The Hot Choc stand for your winter village scene is still available.

The 'D' is also now on backorder until 12th December.

I ordered at 00:00 on Friday and got all 3 GWP's, the website was chugging .

Amazon being annoying with rivendell. No external packaging and requires a sig but cant select delivery date.

It probably comes in a brown coregated cardboard Lego generic 'ready to ship' ourter carton, the last large set form Amazon I ordered did (Trevi Fountain)

Nah, there's a note when you order saying it comes with no outer packaging. A fair few of the reviews are images or posts of the box being damaged as a result.
