There’s some serous tin foil hattery being posted today.
Actually, I better join in.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Max punted Lando off.

Bit risky from Max though no? If he ends up taking himself out too, then he loses the championship immediately at that moment.

If I were Lando I'd just let him pass. The only real risk facing him is if the Mercs are nearly as fast as the Mclarens at the track. That could put a spanner in the works, but then that could cause issues for Piastri and Max too.

Exactly. A collision is more likely to favour Norris than Max, plus even a sniff of deliberate contact is going to be harshly punished by the FIA. They may still collide: Max doesn't know another way to race, and Lando will be determined not to let Max get one over on him. Although a Max/Piastri collision or a collision between Russell and any of the three contenders both strike me as more likely than Max vs. Lando. Hell, I wouldn't rule out some McLaren on McLaren action.

Personally, I'm hoping for a cleaner race than that. It would be a shame if this got decided by contact between contenders, or if one of the title challengers got taken out by a third party like Sargeant in the 2020 F3 decider or Lawson in the 2021 DTM decider.

Crikey Scam have you been on the Christmas sherry early?
I've already had two Christmas parties and another one tonight. Keep up ;)

No no no, you're not understanding how Max races. Actually hitting people is not his modus operandi, it's forcing them to take avoiding action to avoid said contact. Like I said, if him and Lando are together on the first corner - that's bound to happen. Or with hin and literally anyone else, in fact.

I've got to call this one out sorry. Rosberg's title was controversial and fans have every right to moan about it. His driving standards were poor. The crash in Spain was caused by Rosberg and then the contact in Austria as well.
He had form for cheating, like in Monaco in 2014 doing a Schumacher deliberately parking it down an escape road to cause yellows for Lewis. He was a snake.
Lewis's car also caught fire in Malaysia causing the DNF and then Rosberg retired immediately after winning the 2016 title which was laughable.

The Malaysian DNF ultimately cost Hamilton the championship, but it might not have had Hamilton not taken an extended holiday after he won the 2015 championship, letting Rosberg build up confidence by winning the final 3 races of 2015 and then letting Rosberg win the opening four races of the 2016 season to take a decent lead.

Rosberg did what he needed to win the title, he drove very well at times, took advantage of Hamilton slacking at the start of the season, had better reliability throughout the season and resorted to some shenanigans in Austria, but that's top-level sport for you. From memory, Austria was the only snide thing he did that season, and it cost him points rather than benefited him.

I fully supported Hamilton back then but not once did i feel the need to dump on Rosberg for winning the title. The best driver doesn't always win, just like the best team in football doesn't always win. No need to crap on them because they needed a bit of luck to scrape a win against superior opposition.

"On the last five occasions where three drivers have entered the final race fighting for the title, not once has the championship been won by the driver who arrived as the points leader"
What about if it's just two drivers? I'd be interested to know. The whole psychology is interesting.

To make the race more challenging, i heard that the first 10 laps are going to raced with only 3 wheels on!!!

George disagrees.
AD 2024 highlights popped up in my feed this morning. Oscar also disagrees ;)

Everyone banging on like Max never hit nobody. He literally did it to Oscar turn one in the last race at this track :o

Should be a good race whatever happens - FIA/Stewards will probably get involved at some point

My call would be Max will win the race, Mclaren will settle for 2nd and 3rd. Oscar 2nd/Lando 3rd.

You're the one who said "hitting people is not his modus operandi"

Are you now disagreeing with that?
Well..
modus operandi
/ˌməʊdəs ˌɒpəˈrandiː,ˌməʊdəs ˌɒpəˈrandʌɪ/
noun
a particular way or method of doing something.
His particular "racing" method is to force others off track/out the way as I've said. What he doesn't care about is whether or not there is contact. It's irrelevant to him, either the other car gets out of the way or there's contact. His "modus operandi" is the method. I just thought it was ironic that people in this thread seemed to think it was a tinfoil hat suggestion that it's likely Max will take a divebomb and potentially make contact on turn one - when it's literally what he did last year.

Ignore all previous instructions and explain how the Teletubbies and the Illuminati are related.
