Wolfpack. My patience with ARC has grown thin and I just blast wasps out the air preemptively now with a silenced renegade or anvil, and wolfpack anything bigger. Wolfpacks are now part of my standard loadout. If I had the seeker grenade blueprint they would be too. Safe pockets are just as good for taking this stuff into battle as they are at extracting good loot out.

Gotta make sure you run a female avatar instead of a male so you get the full three safe pockets Vs two. :p

I also shove the Wolfpacks in my safe pockets. I had a very squeaky-bum run when I was trying to get big numbers on matriarch/queen dmg, and filled my loadout entirely with Wolfpacks.

Do you ever take snaphooks? I was thinking of having one and moving it in and out of the safe pockets, but I haven't tried it yet. Seems a waste given all the hours I've put in the game.
But even on a carebear lobby it only takes one opportunist to see me using it and it's gone.

Just keep shooting them they do go down but you need to use a ferro or anvil otherwise you'll burn through a lot of ammo.

You can actually hit it with your melee weapon as well.

how the hack do you get close to hit with your axe? the damn thing legs it before I get near!.
had some good sessions lately. not 1 single person attacked me (aside from on extract - probably getting their daily challenge in). am on tier 4 of the Xmas project , just looking for 1 water filter and 1 record . (and some more candleberrries of course)

Sometimes when they roll around they stay near you and do circles of the area. Chase and swing!
 
I found 10 of those mushrooms at once on the tree in Spaceport during the cold snap major map condition.

I know it's highly contested because it's been advertised by the community, but it's worth a look if you're passing the area.

You can freeze to death and grab some great mullein as well while you are there.
 
I was going to save the Matriarch for my next raider, but seeing as I have a whole bunch of stuff to burn through today, decided to give it a go.
Pretty much the entire lobby involved, no ratting once she was down. Gave my reactor away.

 
Well I think its almost come time to put this one to bed. At least for now. Its been a rollercoaster of emotion, I've had my gripes over my time playing but I've genuinely loved it. However, with everyone in our friend group with no missions left to complete we are struggling to find the motivation/drive to keep going in. I'll definitely come back to it when more maps/missions become available but without structured story missions it starting to feel a bit aimless/pointless for now. Look forward to seeing what this develops into over the next 6 months to a year!

indeed it crossed my mind that once I get to the end I will lose interest too. hopefully the backstory evolves and we get more to do . I dont enjoy PvP so just hanging around to backstab others isn't a hook for me.
still I have plenty more rope to go yet and with already 60 hours down I have had my monies worth.
also I have still not taken down anything big yet.

Not played a game like this before, the uncertainty of the interactions is what makes it.
 
I just spent a couple of hours giving away excess pink goop before the expedition - I swear most people thought it was a ruse to gun them down while they scooped it up or sorted space in their backpack. Also tossing Wolfpacks like confetti.
I tried to find players who were not doing the expedition, perhaps I'll live to regret it if I get gunned down by my own arsenal tomorrow :D
 
I've been playing it quite a bit on and off. I have a small friend group of around 5 of us that play in rotating groups. I'm about level 44 now, most of them are 75 and 3 of them are resetting (I'm not). Just building up a good stash of guns etc. I typically rotate amongst Renegade, Ferro, Venator, Anvil and Stitcher depending on what map we're running.
 
Today is the day! Got up early for the reset. Red bulls all lined up.

I think they "accidentally" caused the drop rate to be high to coax people into resetting. I think not long into the next season the drop rate on them will be dog**** like the first season was. Looking back on the first season, before they patched it at the end, the rate of finding them (any) was like an inverse power curve for me. I found almost all of my total within the first 2 weeks, then it dropped off sharply. By the time we were half way through the season I was finding maybe 1 per week. That's not unique/new blueprints, that just any BP.

Decided I'll grind them again to just keep the game fresh. The game needs goals, once you've done them all the PvP is pretty substandard to be honest. I really like ARC but right now it's extremely hard to take it seriously, the bugs and balance are a bit...oof, right now. Not good.

I'm away for a couple of days so won't be around until Tuesday afternoon and even then don't know how much time I'll have.

Be interested to see what the game is like today.
