To be honest, I've never really trusted those things so never tried.
Happy to try in the name of science...

I've not used Ryzen master since I had my 3600X, I'm a bit blind to what it can do now. I shall investigate. You can then use ryzen master afterwards, using per core testing
thats another cpu killed by an asrock board then................... errr ive lost count of how many ive heard/read about happeningo n here in the last few weeks but its way way into double figures now..........One year later and my 9800x3d just died. Game froze, rebooted aystem and it never booted again. 00 error, no post. Checked for burn marks, all clear. Tried another 9800x3d from my mates pc and it all works. Filled ocuk rma process, 48h later still no response. Fingers crossed will get it replaced before xmas holidays. Motherboard is x870e Nova on 3.5 bios
I wonder if damage was done whils i had older bioses prior (i got mb and cpu last november). On last bios soc was locked at 1.2v if i remember it rightthats another cpu killed by an asrock board then................... errr ive lost count of how many ive heard/read about happeningo n here in the last few weeks but its way way into double figures now..........
Happened to me last week. Already got the replacement cpu but the retailer said nothing wrong with mobo and just sent that crap back to me. I bought a gigabyte x870 board and will use that now. asrock can go to hell. I will try and contact Asrock and get a refund or somethingOne year later and my 9800x3d just died. since April ishHow long you had yours working till it died?
I understand every 9800x3d is somewhat different.. I run a stock 9800x3d and not overclocked I think I understand this negative pbo and 200mhz boost and kind of know where they are in the bios is they a safe overclock with a little gain in games I can do without stress testing the **** out of my system? I have ram set 6000 cl30 on standard expo timings.
So set -15 negative all core pbo and no other settings like voltage or core clock?-10 or -15 should be safe
I have mine at -15.
Set it to -15 and if you get any crashes in games just set it to -10 and you should be good.
Yup, exactly that. I think you could push it further tbh, I started at -30 and worked down from there. So set -15 negative all core pbo and no other settings like voltage or core clock?
What about core clocks + 200mhz not bothered with any of that? just literally negative all core pbo no other settings? Seems too easyYup, exactly that. I think you could push it further tbh, I started at -30 and worked down from there.
-25 works nicely on mine and doesn't crash, mate of mine has said his sits happily at -20.

Wait 6 to 9 months and see if is still all OK...My one sits at -30 no problem with a +200mhz boost. Ran it like that for a few weeks, done I bios update and forgot to reapply it.
