There was this one underground map in 2042 that was small but so good it was all I played so they can be good with zero vehicles
The small maps worked well because their was large scaled all out war maps. The issue isn't small maps, the issue is they are all small badly designed maps.

Anyone getting CTD ? Can't finish a game with out crashing !
I was but it may have been to do with this (although I wasn't running overkill settings)
Are you running ultra-overkill settings? I used to experience crashes until I turned them down 1 step. This was pre-patch though but I haven't touched the settings since.
I lowered my settings slightly and haven't had a crash since. Could be coincidence though.

Had a game lastnight for the first time in weeks, asked myself how did i put 250 hours into this thing.
TTK sems faster than i recall lol.

just play the maps you like unless you dont like any of them
I accepted I don't like any of them so enabled all maps/modes
Maybe Cairo is ok.
But the worst map/mode combo is squad deathmatch on Firestorm. Way to big so there is no action and way to many roofs full of snipers.

I only have 3 maps in my rotation:

Iberian Offensive
Siege of Cairo
Liberation Peak

Keeps me happy when I need my Battlefield fix.
Old favourites;
Grand Bazaar
Seine crossing
Pearl Market
Locker
Metro

New favourites so far, all on Breakthrough.
Empire State
Eastwood
Cairo

Yeah, I like small urbans. :)

Anyone else think the roster of weapons is a bit small?

Also I have no idea how the battle pass works.

My understanding is you choose a path to work towards unlocks.

Expect I don't know how to choose a path... It's all a bit confusing.

I'm also talking about the free battle pass. I'm not paying anything extra.

Does anyone on controller feel like the aim assist is a little bugged after the latest update? A number of times recently it feels like my crosshair is staying on the targets old location a little too long after they’ve moved away from me. I try to follow them, but it’s like the aim assist is trying to hold me to where the target used to be, and it’s not letting me quickly adjust to fast targets. Maybe I need to dial back the aim assist strength for now. But it didn’t feel like this before…or maybe I’m just imagining it, and it’s just sweaty players increasingly jumping and diving everywhere now.

Maybe fewer weapons than previous Battlefields - but then again there are only a few I use anyway; they are all too similar.

I think you can start on different parts of the battle pass or switch between the part you are working on - except for the last 2 paths where you need to have done the others first.

I didn't bother changing the path though and just left it in the default order - I haven't looked at or used a single thing that I've unlocked though, nice to have something to work towards I suppose.

I want to like a lot more maps - I want to play the bigger maps like Firestorm and Mirak valley, but as a mostly INF player as soon as you are on those bigger maps you just get sniped constantly.

I don't think there is a more frustrating way to die - just an out on nowhere instant death, especially if you've had to run a long way.

I can see how sniping is fun for the sniper, but it isn't good for the game.

Having unlocked them all, levelled up the ones I thought were decent, then compared them, I've pretty much concluded that the starter weapons are often best. Now the whole thing about unlocking weapons and levelling them seems like a time sink, just something designed to make you spent more time playing the game.

When you do weekly challenges you get battlepass points. Battlepass points unlock stuff on the battlepass. If you're not paying (I don't either) then most of the things you unlock you don't get anyway so it's a massive waste of time. The ones that matter are weapon unlocks, the occasional xp booster or coins is fine I guess but not important.

On the battlepass screen you can see paths at the bottom, iirc everyone starts with the noob path, then it branches out into 4 paths, you have to do them all but you can choose which order to do them in. You might do this if one path contains a weapon unlock you want, not all paths contain things you care about.

You have some challenge rerolls, so if you get a challenge you won't complete then you can reroll it. Not all challenges are equal point rewards. Each week there's a bonus challenge which is unlocked by doing most of the other challenges in that week, and it's worth good points so always do that, if you don't do the bonus challenge you lose it.

That's how season 1 worked anyway. I'd say overall it wasn't much fun because the challenges were a boring grind and I don't use the unlocked weapons anyway because I think there are better alternatives, and usually it's the first or second weapon you get per class. Season 1 is about to end so if you're just starting out then don't even bother. Wait for season 2 which is due 17th Feb.

SCW-10 is completely broken it's too good. Close range melts, mid range melts, long range still melts? It's meant to be a SMG....
