This morning checks outside "oh nice sunshine". Checks outside temp. Its -1 degree. Okayyy.

Anyway.. Has anyone used Esso Synergy Supreme+ 99 fuel on their bikes? I use Shell V-Power always. I can get 5p off via Bluelight Card (applies to other fuels too).

Heated clothing exists. As long as it's (mainly) dry I get out there, life's too short to wait for a nice warm sunny day in this country, that might be months away.

Been out for 40 miles today bit chilly but fine with wooly undergloves and wintrr gloves

Leather also so bot colder clothing than my textiles but that was ok.

I’m waiting for the earlier sun. Commuting at 6am and still a little too dark for the pothole infested country roads I take. But I can see some light so it’ll be very soon.

So soon I picked up new boots! Oxford cyphers which were pretty cheap considering the safety rating on them.

Talk to me about Helmets.

Brand? Colour? Is a helmet important to you for visibility and wearing a brightly coloured one part of being seen? Do you coordinate with the bike/gear? Any recommendations?

As a noob I would recommend flip up helmet, so when you go into a shop you don't need to remove it, just flip it up.
Also get one with built in shade visor, and pinlock
Bright helmets give you that extra visibility

I'd avoid black helmets
