DLSS Momentum Continues: 50 Released and Upcoming DLSS 3 Games, Over 250 DLSS Games and Creative Apps Available Now

All the same thing, inserted frames whatnot.

That there is your problem.

Here I am playing Spiderman 2 and loving it.

Just because it does not work well in some games does not mean it does not work on all games.

One day you will learn the error of your ways. But you probably won't ever admit it ;)

There's only one game engine mode that FG is necessary and that's in PT to achieve 100fps target with 2xFG alone. Beyond 100fps means absolutely nothing to me in my quest for silent high end gaming thus keeping GPU fan speeds reduced in those titles with a 100fps target only. So yeah for me mfg means nothing given my 100fps cap and will remain so for the long future.

By the time I upgrade the 4090, GPUs will be so powerful that base pre-fg framerates will be high enough to not even need 2xFG any more.

Wants silence, dismisses extra free frames. Lol.

You can say what you want. I tried Spiderman 2 with and without framegen and it makes a huge difference. Super smooth and no obvious issues.

I see it already. You will use it one day and then startt saying but but but. Or just use it and not tell us.

I don't like the Spiderman games though lol, too boring, tried it and refunded at launch :o

But yeah silence and locked frames, a superb balance.

I still want to know if I should be sticking to DLAA where possible, or should I be using some form of DLSS. I would like to use DLSS as it uses less power, but if its going to reduce image quality I wont bother.

Is DLAA still superior over any of the DLSS models? None of the videos (like above) show any comparisons with DLAA / DLSS.

DLAA is always going to provide better IQ but the performance drop off is usually massive.
This is the thing, I have tried my best to see a difference with DLAA VS DLSS (usually running at ultra quality) but I cant see it however close/hard I look.

But I still run DLAA when possible, I think its just gives me a continuous placebo effect!

With DLSS I go with Quality at 1440p and Performance at 4k. Don't really see any difference using higher modes except for the lower framerates.

FG is still awful for my eyes, as soon as I turn on x2 FG with a high base framerate (well over 60) I instantly see artifacts or ghosting especially around the character models when panning the camera in third person games. No idea how people use crap like Lossless which is way worse than NV FG :D .

Pretty much how I roll too. I upgraded to a 4K monitor a while back and Performance DLSS looks fine to me, but frame generation is awful. Maybe I'm just cursed to see the artifacts it produces whilst others don't, but in every game I've tried it in the results have been unusable for me. I'd much rather just turn down a few settings in-game if I need a framerate boost.

Try Spiderman 2. I thought it was fantastic in that.

It varies from game to game, but at 4k, when you tried FG did you test DLSS Quality or performance? I'm thinking performance mode is ok on stills but will struggle much more in motion with FG on top. Although not perfect i find myself using fg more often than not. Not perfect in all games, and has compromise but for my sensitivities i prefer higher framerate with a few artifacts vs 60fps. 60fps is just to blurry in motion for me which i see as the biggest artifact caused by sample and hold.
