EV general discussion

I'm missing out on this fast food youtube diet of ev protagonists ... guess I need to up my youtube viewing to the 50min daily avg.

.. they need a smarter diet - good luck.

New car day today. Very excited. Just under 3hrs to go. I've been without a motor since Nov. Weather is looking nice today so will be getting a good wash and detox before the pan 1 year coating goes on!
Interested to hear your thoughts etc on your Pulse, still un sure on the pulse/summit or the premium. I like the vented seats, matrix lights etc on the premium but I also like having AWD, the near 580hp does sound a bit mad for a standard SUV though lol.

When I did the test drive it was both the pro and the brabus - so both ends of the spectrum, and to be honest even the pro was nice. Brabus was too much. You could test a pro, or pro+ (both RWD) and if you get on OK then you know the Premium with the spec you prefer will be spot on. But like you AWD is nice. :)

Cupra Born facelift looks good improvements, that tiny display has doubled with much better door cards and finally rear air vents. Also gone to normal buttons from haptics.

I didnt really see much of an update to be fair. The display has doubled to 10inch but I never use it anyway. I use the head-up display. The door cards are better and there are slight styling improvements but thats about it
No powertrain changes. Think ill be sticking with my VZ for a good few years until a new powertrain comes out.

Had a quick look to see what my id3 service would set me back if I went to VW.

£244 for an inspection, £319 if I want them to change the pollen filter as well  £70 for a £15 filter and less than 60 seconds of labour.

Another £56 if I want the brake fluid changing, no idea how that's cheaper than adding a pollen filter.

Think I'll go with the local hevra approved place £228 for inspection and brake fluid then nip to Euro car parts around the corner and get a filter.

That's when you find out the pollen filter has been engineered to require dismantling half the dash just to access it and 3 special tools to extract it

Not in the ID3 pop the bonnet unclip the cover slide old one out and new one in. I could probably do it in 30 seconds with my eyes shut after the second time.

Exactly how it should be rather than having to spin on your head pray to the gods and dismantle the car to get to it.
