With him dominating so much with Carlos being out injured, wonder if they’ll consider changing the courts so theres a greater difference between them. Have them all super means they don’t have to change so much for the clay to grass month swing then right into the slower hard courts.

I think there's a real risk of that sadly. Wrists are absolute horror shows for top players. To play at that level with a wrist that's even slightly off will be almost impossible
 
Only have to look at Dominic Thiem to see how wrist injuries affect top players. If CA doesn't hit his previous peak people will be comparing him to Seles, Del Porto and others in the what ifs..

Probalby not. Revenuse share is something like 15%. Lowest of any GS or even WTA/ATP tournaments. Typically it's around 25-50% in top sports.

The 56m is shared between mens', womens', mens' doubles, wheel chair etc..

The high ranking single players who have walked out would kick up stink that they are the main draw - lets be honest here the market forces just don't watch doubles or wheels chair - that why they've switched it up at the US with the high ranking single players teaming up.

It's such a tough subject matter as you've got supply and demand and that would then open up an entire can of worms because the men would then be paid far more than the women.

The stadiums, surround areas, players facilities, etc etc are all world class in the four slams a lot of that revenue will be used to continue to make improvements to the whole product as well.

Put the pressure back on the players at the top and say right fine, we've increased the main draw by prize fund by >10% which larger increases the first few rounds, we're not going to increase the winners/ru but use that money and double the prize pool for Quad + wheelchair single and doubles. Take the mixed doubles and doubles up as well not quite double though as the maths don't work.

The money has to come from somewhere.

You used to be able to get it for £6 for the month to watch RG. Looks like in the UK they upped the price massively. Still around €6-8 in some other countries as best I can tell.

You can always use a VPN and watch it on France 2 TV.
 
Shes had one moment when the stars aligned and she had a rich vein of form. She won a grand slam, no one cant take that away from her but shes no Andy Murray. Since then she has done very little, in part due to injuries so I have some sympathy but i just dont think shes that good.

I saw her in person at the WTA event before RG. She actually played very well against Diane Parry (who have recently been in a final against Madison Keys). Emma was up a break towards the tail end of both sets. Her serve was a big weakness, and her movement isn't the best, but it looked very encouraging for someone who's been out for a while. Oh and she seemed to have a nasty chesty cough.

Anyway, the point I wanted to say, was the coach was giving her instructions, and she was getting frustrated and complaining. "Yeah, everytime I do that I lose the point", or "you're telling me too much". I presume it was just heat of the moment stuff, as she was laughing later.

Bear in mind, she had a decent season last year was legit top 30. If it not for her illness earlier this year, she'd have been seeded for RG.

My biggest complaint about her is that she refuses to drop down and play lower tournaments (like Bencic has done), or enter qualifiers.
