Hi guys it sure if this is the correct place e to post this so apologies if it isnt

Wondered if people could give me thoughts on my PC build I have done

Case - Phanteks NV9
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Eight Core 5.00GHz
Board - Asus TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI DDR5 ATX
GPU - Asus GeForce RTX 5070 TUF Gaming OC 12GB GDDR7
PSU - MSI MAG A850GL ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 850W 80 Plus Gold
CPU Cooler - Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 Dual Tower CPU Cooler -120mm
Memory - TeamGroup Delta RGB 32GB (2X16GB) DDR5 PC5-44800C30 6000MHz
Main Drive (Windows) - Crucial T500 1TB NVMe PCIe Gen4 M.2
Game Drive - Lexar NM790 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0
Monitor - LG 32" 32GS85Q-B 2560x1440 Nano IPS 180Hz 1ms A-Sync
11 Fans - Artic P14s and P14 Pros for reverse fans
 
I would have got a higher tier PSU with a 10-year warranty, but a 7800X3D/5070 combo will be decent for gaming at 1440p.

The case/case fans also took a lot of money out of the budget, unless you own them already, which might have been redirected to more CPU or GPU performance.
 
I can get a better GPU in the future tho as the CPU is allready ahead of the GPU so saves upgrading 2 parts future and just do GPU if I have that right, is 850w not enough I thought it would need 750 so went higher to gain more room as I'm only casual gamer and not gonna be smashing 10 hours on AAA games or overclocking mad it was more about the build than budget

It's almost impossible to say unless you can break down how much the components cost you and what you actually intend to use the PC for.

Off the top of my head, I can see a few instances I'd consider poor but that might very much change if you got a bargain on them vs OCUK prices.

If you want peoples opinions it's usually best to ask before buying rather than after, it could save you a few bob and even net you better performance.

By tier, I don't mean power, I mean general build quality and performance. Most top tier PSUs have a 10-year warranty so I mention the warranty length of the GL just as a guide. It isn't a bad PSU though, you could do a lot worse.

Why spend £650 on a GPU which isn't exactly pocket change when 12gb is borderline at 1440p

Battlefield was at 13gb GPU memory

It was oc prices got it from them built it myself, use it for casual gaming fm diablo battlefield 6 and some general browsing web despite the cost I was thinking more of the product than the cost as an overall I did my research And it all works nicely just wanted and more expert opinion

How much did it cost you all in, not including the monitor?

It's not a bad PC and you could have done a lot worse, but for a genuine opinion we'd need a bit more info as prices fluctuate a lot over time so what X component cost you on purchase might not be indicative of current pricing.

£2400 total minus monitor costs weren't to much of an issue as pay monthly for it so I was spending not worrying to much.
Altho ram was expensive but that's due to the ramagedon lol

That's not a good build for £2400 unfortunately. It ain't even a good build for £2000.

Unfortunately asking for advice after you've bought the parts is locking the stable doors after the horse has bolted :(

I'm not gonna lie to you mate, that's a hell of a lot of money for the performance level.

That shouldn't have set you back more than £1500-1600 give or take, you've went in hard with the case and fans and some other bits and bobs-- there's nothing wrong with aesthetics but when you're budgeting for what is essentially a entry level to mid range machine in the current climate you should prioritise performance. You could have very easily done that and still had a very good looking PC for a hell of a lot less than £2000 and done so with higher performing parts.

Yeah kinda over spent on the case lol but oc prices lol, I wouldn't say it's entry level with a x3d CPU and a 5070 GPU but that's me what parts would you have changed for better performance
