apologies I missed details! £300 - £400 budget. He will game at 1440pWhat resolution and budget?
Assuming you have £300.00 second hand I’d be looking at a 7800 Xt
Thank you, I will see whats in the for sale forum!used nvidia 4070 with triple fan design and beefy looking cooler would be on my radar
Personally I’d go 7800 Xt or if you’re very lucky a 4070 Ti though might be a bit above the £400apologies I missed details! £300 - £400 budget. He will game at 1440p

which are better supported on newer generations and/or it can help older or less than bleeding edge setups to stay relevant longer. Thanks, thats helpful advice, I think he will need generation as GTA6 was mention today! While AMD has backported some support I'd be looking towards the newer generation cards where possible - as increasingly games are relying on upscaling and frame generation technologieswhich are better supported on newer generations and/or it can help older or less than bleeding edge setups to stay relevant longer.
Yeah, I wouldn't pay that for one either. 9060 XT 16GB was more like £330 on release.I’ve just looked at the 9060 Xt but imo it is not worth £430+ when you can get a second hand 7800 Xt for around the £340 mark which now also offers FSR4 and it offers 20-30% more performance
