YouFibre

Decided to take advantage of the You8000 offer at £50 per month, my new Unify gateway fibre supports 5gb intrusion detection or upto 10gb i believe with it disabled. Just need a 10g nic for my PC and I'm good to go

Installed my 10g nic lol

Has anyone been able to get YouFibre to enable the telephone ports on their ONT recently? My ONT, specifically requested, is the Adtran 622V. The person I spoke to in Customer Service said it couldn't be done but, according to this forum, they used to be able to do it in the past. Maybe I need to address my request to elsewhere in the organisation?

After my recent experience dealing with them and the morons in their customer services. I'd suggest writing a complaint email, either to their complaints inbox or to the ceo.

If its not on the script the monkeys are beyond useless

No they can't do the phone on the ONT, only via ata adaptor or router, I tried to get a ata but after days of chat and feeling successful, nothing arrived, I juts use the router.

Unlike the Adtran 621X the 622V variant has POTS ports. YouFibre have enabled telephone ports in the past. I've put another request in. Currently the phone port is enabled on the router which is not what I want.

I have the Adtran 622v ONT with YouPhone working perfectly fine through the ONT telephone port. I would drop Jeremy Chelot a DM on Twitter/X if you still got told it won't work via YouFibre support, I would hope he can get it sorted for you.

I asked the engineer who did my install when I joined in 2023 if he could use the Adtran 622v (he actually went back to his depot and picked one up for me) as I wanted to use my own router but still retain a landline phone.

That sounds more useful however I don't do social media. Who is Jeremy Chelot and do you have an email address for him? Any other way of making contact?

He's the CEO of YouFibre, and very responsive to direct messages on social media. I don't know whether there's an email for him, and likely it'd bounce to someone on his team anyway. Just create an account on X and send him a message.

The WiFi 7 router given is shocking. Can I just plug in a mesh network to the ONT or do I need to change any settings as when I do its not picking up the connection.

So, when I plugged in my Ubiquiti gear the other day it just worked. If it doesn't, call them and tell them you're using your own equipment and hope you don't get a moron.

It should just work though.

Anyone in the north west (Bolton) having issues this morning? My fibre light has been red since around 4am. Will speak with support when it opens.

hi I have a Asus Zenwifi XT Pro (my own) and it's been working fine but yesterday about 8pm it stopped supplying internet, it says connected and lan is still working but internet isn't, strange thing is that their router works fine, so they obviously won't help me, can any suggest stuff to try
