Some good court reporting from BBC. There's 3 women claiming rape, they all seem to be date rapes. I think the first 1 is the strongest. 1 of them had consensual sex with Brand and then he carried out anal sex without asking her first. 1 of the alleged rapes is oral. There's other women claiming sexual assault and a woman he tried to pull into the toilets. They're trying to establish a patern of him pushing beyond boundaries without consent.
I think his defense is likely a poor one. He's claiming he can't remember any of the incidents if I understand correctly. That means he can't say 'actually what actually happened is......' He can't push back on their claims as effectively

The day after 9/11 he went to work in London dressed as Osama Bin Laden. Do you think that sort of sick joke wasn't offensive to the families of 9/11 victims? He has always done whatever he feels like with impunity and finally the chickens are coming home to roost. It's a self-inflicted wound.

He was sacked. Hardly walking around with impunity.
Sounds like they are trying to coerce and control the court system.
If there's a strong case for it to go to court, then why shouldn't it be public. Just another celeb putting themself above the law and general public who wont get such treatment or care.
Well tbh in todays 24/7 internet world it's a rather pointless thing anyway, because other countries are not bound by the injunction, and the info is out there. Although it's a very open secret who it is.
Anyway, this is the Russell Brand thread so...
Don't know why they bother trying to suppress it in UK courts. When Soldier F was on trial in Northern Ireland and his identity was suppressed in UK reporting, you could get his real name and deep dive articles on all the horrible crimes and human rights abuses against him reported from the Republic of Ireland. And when it comes to "don't out me as a sex pest in a court of law or I'll kill myself", I don't see that as anything other than a win / win.

Well, it didn't make any difference to his career trajectory. After that he got a presenter job at Radio X and was later fired from that for more misbehaviour, then he got another TV presenting job. Courting controversy works for these entertainers. No publicity is bad publicity etc.
Of course it was offensive. Is it relevant to what I said?

Ok, that’s not who I was expecting. But being as they are a previously reported sex pest and people who I know of who have worked with or around them uphold that view, perhaps I’m not all that surprised.
