I have it set to enabled in vista (xfi + eax)

Not sure how the alchemy software is supposed to work but the sound is pretty realistic from what I've played so far.

Anyone notice higher fps in the full version over the demo, got to the same place that the demo stopped at and fps have been constantly higher :confused:

BY comparison I'd say HL2 water looked more "real" whereas the Bioshock water looks a little more heavier in mass, more "oily" if you get what I mean.

yeah i get what you mean, but i still think bioshock water is the best to date, but hey everyone has an opinion.

Me i personnally thing Far Crys tropical water when maxed out looks the best lol.
 
Far Cry water IS oil, rofl!

Bioshock Water is the most appealing though, especially how it interacts with the area, even if HL2 looks more real.

Never thought much of the HL2 water, has a kind of grainy appearance at times.
 
Managed to load this without seeing any spoilers.. it was a risk but i had to take it simply to post..

THIS GAME ROCKS MY SOCKS! I cant believe how good it is. Im thoroughly enjoying it. Its the same sort of experience i got when playing HalfLife. Such good story mixed with such good gameplay, all of the elements just coming together so well.
 
Mate of mine got the game at 11am today.

And he has already finished it.

He said he didnt even play it all day though.
 
Notice now that most people have the game, and activation is working how quiet it is on here?

Am really enjoying. Was surprised when got home to discover my copy waiting on my step. Got it in, no hassles with activation, and having a ball playing it.

Am a bit slow in my old age, so get confused when need to change quickly between weapons/plasmids, types ammo etc, but will get the hang of it.

Although just harvested adam from little sister for first time, adn saved my "upgrades" into gene bank, but I have no idea what it is, or how to access. Any ideas?

Hope they do fix the widescreen issue. Its playable, but feels like looking through security peep-hole.

Would this game run on my macbook pro with x1600 or not? or is it a case of yes but it will look poo?

Cant decide this version and the xbox360 version, theres a £10 difference and I much prefer FPS games on PC over control pad as I havent ever gotten to grips using FPS on a control pad, but if it looks like turd or wont even run then its pointless

also how much space does the game take up? was going to download the demo, but 8GB ! :eek:

ah I might get the demo tomorrow whilst watching footy then, see if my laptop can cope, otherwise it will be time to fork the extra cost for the 360 version!

Have to find one with a figurine though, is it the collectors edition or special edition, or are they the same? can only find special edition and its £50

Collectors edition is the one with the Big Daddy figurine. Good luck finding one of them now though.
 
Anybody else experiencing weird black squares in the game? They just pop up for 1 frame or when I die sometimes there's a few of them. It doesn't spoil the game, but is kinda annoying.
