You need to be 18, legally, to enter into a credit agreement iirc.
I believe he is correct... You shouldnt need or think about getting a credit card before your 18 anyways in my opinion...You need to be 18, legally, to enter into a credit agreement iirc.
You could get one if it was in your parents name. Like a second card holder (with the child being the second).
While you're thinking about it, stop right there.
Im not careless with money. A credit card is safer, you have more comeback than you would with a debit. Can't get a debit card anyway, bank won't give one till 18 either.
get a better bank mate, I've had one since I was 11.
Don't give in to temptation - save up and pay for it with cash. If you can't afford it, then don't put yourself under financial pressure trying to buy it.
I don't have problems like that, not like im gonna get one and rack a bill up and be unable to pay for it. It's for buying things online mainly.
Have to be 18, and you don't want one - when I turned 18 last year I was suddenly offered all these deals from my bank and declined them all. I'm happy enough with a debit card as I can control my spending that way![]()
whats this cash back thing all about? also, do you get tax on credit cards? like you do in you debit account?I use my credit card for everything I buy online that costs around £20+
However I've got into the habit if immediately paying it off.
I literally buy it with my Egg Blue and once the order has gone through I log into my Egg account and make a one-off purchase with my debit card.
This way I get the small cashback, the protection of Mastercard and at the end of the month the credit card is still empty.
