is it definitely dandruff and not just old hair styling product flaking out? Try not putting any products in your hair for a few days and see if it stops, I found certain hair gels can produce a small blizzard the next day.

specialist told me to use head and shoulders but had some pretty bad itching going on as well think it was a yeast problem or something ! anyway he said there was something in head and shoulders that made it better than the others (this was late 80s or early 90s iirc)

I have dermatitis

Only thing that really works for me is a class 2 (1 being strongest) steroid. And boy does it work.
I had to go to doctor after doctor to get it. One idiot suggested I put canesten (sp) cream in my hair. The doctor who gave me the steroid said that was a load of BS!

But as said you'd know if you had this, as it itches

There is actually some logic to that as itchy large amounts of dandruff can be Seborrhoeic Dermatitis and Canestan calms it down.

I have a mix of Seborrhoeic Dermatitis and Psoarisis, Canestan does help it.

This is a sign that you are being targeted by agencies of the New World Order for surveillance and mind control. The powerful microwaves being beamed at you day and night can cause this kind of physical symptom. Aluminium foil is a good insulator.

So this has been at it for a while hahaha. NO matter how often, and what I wash my hair with. I can at anytime just scratch my head/over my hair..and always have dandruff. It's not itchy at all or a worry..just why doesnt it stop lol

Go to your doctor and ask him about Ketopine shampoo. I was prescribed it for psoriasis and have had great results with it.

All the big brands probably do more good than bad imo, no need for the excess of chemicals when only a few ingredients are necessary.

OP you could try a traditional method such as yoghurt or coconut oil as somebody mentioned.

I had dandruff and itchy scalp for years. Was recommended t gel works brilliantly when you use it leave on the scalp a few minutes to get the full benefit

head and shoulders shampoo ought to sort it out

otherwise get T gel from your local chemist

failing that perhaps go see your doctor if it persists - make sure it is dandruff not psoriasis or eczema or head AIDS or something...

(also isn't this technically a medical thread?)

dandruff in the majority of cases is hair product flaking.

if you use hair spiking gel etc stick a blob on the mirror and leave it to dry
